    @MisterM52,

How about the annoying whining sound on these kits say for eg on SC14 ?
And what about the fuel mileage due to additional parasitic loss ? I heard that its severely effected..?

Any updates from any else working on this, I just pulled the trigger on the kit for myself as well.

I'm doing the M122 kit. It is supposed to be shipping out in the next 2 weeks.

It's mainly about putting a new cylinder head on with head studs, a cutring gasket and spacer so far.

It will be great to see one of these done right and dyno tested. You have done a good job preparing so I think your M122 build may be the example that motivates others. There is an opportunity for you to flash tunes for others since you seem to be capable there as well.

I don't know if I will make it to the dyno, I think the closest one is 90 minutes from here. But I do believe in sharing information for the common good, so my tunes will be available to share with whoever's interested. Everyone can do their own flashing at this point with an old laptop, a $20 cable, and a $25 flashing program. Hyde also sent me some of his tunes, but they're for a m50b30 stroker w/ s52 cams I believe. Could potentially save someone a lot of work if they were to build a copy of his engine and then buy his kit.

My car is feeling very strong with the new cylinder head installed, so I am just enjoying driving it again after 7 months collecting dust in my shop. Going to start data logging a baseline tomorrow if I find the time.

You might be the first with a low compression build. As far as I know, no one yet has made big power.

Yeah, of course big power is a relative thing, when you can buy 650 HP for $62,000 brand new, in a big ugly Camaro. I think 400ish at the crank with tons of low end torque will feel pretty big in an E36 with no traction control, though.

I'm in the same boat here, if I'm in the world of 400ish at the crank with a sub 3k car I will be pretty happy. I just put a fresh head on mine as well with ARP studs and s52 cams, so we should be in a simular ball park, I will have to watch your build closely, I'm hoping to do a much cleaner routing of the IC piping and coolant hoses compared to what I've seen so far. My thought is is using a same side in and out intercooler.

Thumbs up Updates for June 2019 - M122H Available now! 4 Cylinder Project coming

Hello Everyone, Ever since I have been back from Germany I have been busy trying to catch up with everything else, then had to go out on a trip around New Zealand with some friends who came right over.

Fast forward we have been hiding away our M122H Setup since March this year. We were going to launch it in May after some initial orders were put out; but due to Keith's mother having had a stroke, everything else had to be put on a bit of a halt and we decided to postpone it till now. So this month we have few remaining orders for the M122H to be sent out.

But here is what you are looking at gentlemen, the largest supercharger you will ever bolt onto one of these cars & engines yet.

    The HMW M122H K.C.

    - It supports the Eaton M122H, Eaton TVS 2300 as well as the 2.8L KB and a 2.9L Whipple Twinscrew as well.

    - The Manifolds are now all metal as you see, we convert our existing Bavarian Manifolds to the needs of each order.

    ------------------------------------

    BMW M44, M43, M42 Supercharger Project

There is also some good news for those with 4 Cylinder cars. I took on a 318ti recently, now also a member on the 318ti boards btw. The 318ti is called the Red Rudolph and I will make a separate topic about it. But its been a great fun car, partly due to it using the older E30 type suspension, I just love it, call me crazy! So, it had the M44 Engine, the M42 and M43 being similar, I have taken the opportunity to develop a V4 kit for the 4 cylinder BMW’s.

I call it the M.O.A.B (Mother of all Brackets)

Now all of you know the largest Kit offered for the 4 cylinder to my own knowledge was the DASC that used the M62 (1L) and even that required the adaptation of a custom manifold. While here I have here a 1.4L SC14 making it essentially the largest roots blower setup ever to be publicly made available on these 4 Cylinder cars.

Not only that. I am in the process of making a M45 and M62 Kit that will fit while being able to retain the stock manifold.

Our V3 6 Cylinder M45, M62 and M90 Eaton setups will also be made available from late next month.

Thank you for all your support!

"So we've come to the conclusion that BMW just has parts laying around they decide to throw on cars for no reason."

Interesting, because I have an M42 on my stand bored out with M44 pistons for lower compression and ARP studs, which is going into a '69 2002 when we finish the bodywork (and my bank account recovers from my M3 project.)

I could use some testers actually for the M42/M44 Setup. Will be posting more on it in the forums. See how your M3 project goes, after that I can send you a kit free of charge (just cover shipping) to try out.

That would be cool. I think I would go with Megasquirt since M42 and M44 ECU definitions are not yet open source.

Better yet if you get in touch with Midnight Tuning in Canada, Barry does really great tunes for the stock ECU's, specially to my knowledge the M42/M44 stock ECU's. All you need is a way to log the data and afr (innovative logger is a good idea) I have had a chat with him before, on the M44 you would need to do a bench flash (building one isn't that hard) but I think on the M42 you can use the Ostrich II piggy back for $200.

Good options to keep in mind. I'll look into the Ostrich.

Yes, we are starting on the M20 & M60 kit next month. M30 is still a no, but may happen once the V8 is done.

You think the m112h kit would be able to make 500whp-600whp? I'm interested in what can be done with those larger SC's

Probably 500ish, on an S54 with a 2.5 inch blower pulley. Good luck with those rod bearings.

I'm using ACL race bearings, ARP main studs and Rod bolts. In my M50 with M54 B30 rotating assembly. 2.6 overdrive pulley, 16 PSI. Over 20,000 miles, and thousands of wot pulls to 7500 rpms. No problems yet

Still in it to see if they do a m20 kit, wondering how the kit will work with the vbelt setup.
