OP, you're a dunce. I took a break from bf.c at one point and a lot of new members would PM me asking for advice that if they searched anywhere they'd be able to figure out on their own. I changed my location to one of the most remote places in the US I could think of and the PMs virtually stopped. I've since been more active here again for a few years now, but left my location as Montana, because I don't want to waste my time with that nonsense. Almost everyone that's seen me post knows that I live in northeast Mass, on the NH border. I'm just as much a local as you are, and have met, hung out with, and wrenched on more members' cars than almost anyone on the forum.

In other news, I'm sure you could come up with something witty to snap back at me, but you don't have the time to think it up on your own, we don't have the time to wait, and you don't have the money to pay a team of people to be anywhere nearly as funny as me to write your jokes for you.

It's nice to see you're so wishy-washy though. It'll help keep that sandy vag clean. Maybe you should go back and read my posts again. Let me tl;dr them for you:

"You rant a lot, but you haven't really explained what you're ranting about, could you clarify that for us?"

I know, I know, reading is hard, especially when you're being so uh... emotional and all, but for someone that's so wordy, you sure say a whole lot of nothing.

Some shops out there aren't all that knowledgeable, some owners don't have the passion others do. Some of the most knowledgeable lack the communication skills that ease the customers mind.
Some customers are sometimes ignorant to how "one thing can lead to another" when repairing a car. Some customers I'm glad to have , and take pleasure in repairing their car. Others I wish I didn't have.
Times have changed in the last 5 years, that's for sure.

By the time OP comes back again, he'll be dating the shop owner, then a week later they'll be divorced.

Go ahead and bite. Plenty for everyone.

Update on this. I am the owner of the shop that installed a used 3.2 Engine in Bryans M3. The total cost was 5,600 at the time which included the engine, shipping, fluids, safety wiring the oil pump nut, and resealing the engine and installing some preventative maintenance parts. A month after the engine tore up a belt and I installed a new one for no charge on labor. Mind you, the day the car was picked up he left the shop sideways. The original engine was blown up due to a forcible downshift. I did all I could to help this client especially since he is a Veteran that risked his life for our country. Unfortunately I could not help him beyond doing factory work as he wanted to make the car faster. I do not do performance upgrades and short of doing a supercharger, there isn't much you can do to that engine on a budget. I was always honest and blunt. I admit I was provoked at times and lost my cool. I am a humble BMW technician with now 32 years of exclusive BMW experience and an aircraft certification. We are also a very respected shop with now 2 other technicians that I oversee. Since this defaming post Bryan has reached out to me with an apology which I accepted and moved on. The moral of the story is that we are human beings and can't always be perfect. That goes for the client and the technician. Respect is the key word and it goes both ways. I was trained by BMW and spent 17 years with a fast paced dealership and 7 years with a respected motorsport facility. I do not spend time on the forums nor do I do internet research. It would be nice if this thread is deleted but it won't break my heart if it is not.

Appreciate it Bryan and thank you for your service to this country

Well this certainly was entertaining! Wish Binjammin would come back and liven this place up.
