Hey guys, I recently joined the Beemer society. I bought a certified owned 2008 328xi 6 speed manual with tan leather with wood vynil and black dash. Monaco Blue ext. I hae the type 152 rims that I was hoping to switch. But what I'm here for is to see if anybody here knows if a 2011 front bumper fits on a 2008? To be honest I haven't gone out and measured or anything, I never had the chance to have a new beemer next to mine to compare. I really do prefer the new one though. Also, I was curious, can an M3 rims bore measurment fit on a normal 328? Let me know please. Thanks.
Bumper will fit but the hood and grills are different
Center bore of the wheels should be the same as the M3. To my knowledge, the only BMW to have a different center bore from all the other models is the E39.
E39 = 74.1mm
All other BMWs = 72.1mm
mbanks21 is correct, the bumper technically does fit but the hood, headlights, and grill's are different. Biggest difference in the headlights is the amber and the strip up top that the newer ones posses. This is a topic of pre-LCI vs LCI and it's the owners choice whether it's worth the investment. The rear can also be converted to LCI but would require new tails and trunk. My suggestion would be to look into Mtech kits which would provide you with a more aggressive look if that is what you are looking for.
