wow! That's a lot of work to get the car down to the metal.

The glass moldings are gone from age. New moldings will be installed after paint is complete. The tape was to protect the glass from accidental sanding. I'm not a body man, just being directed and supervised during the work. So far, I've been working on it for 8 days. Everything has been hand blocked, as soon as the door handle removal tools arrive, we prime, guide coat, and reblock the entire car. I hope to have it in the booth by the end of next week. And for that matter, I hope all of the new parts will be here by then.

I choose not to use chemicals to strip the hood, and I didn't feel like taking it off and running it down to the blast guy. So 2 hours with 80 grit and a da sander got me here. Body techs taking hood off car in the am and putting it in the booth to be epoxy primed.

Maple wood? I bought the same set from him too. Just haven't had the time to install it yet.
That looks amazing.
Some pics from latest work

I will have to find some photos comparing the shifters but it is definitely a difference. Plus I remembered I don't have to do chain guides for another 90K miles probably, because my replacement engine I believe is only at 90K or something miles.

GUYS!
Which headers should I get? Raceland or Schmiedmann? (other?) Looking for good fitment and the ability to not have to hack up the headers to fit the O2 sensors?
AND, what is this I hear about a EU tune so I don't get an SES? I don't have emissions testing where I live so IDGAF about that part.
Raceland ($199)
Schmiedmann ($Unknown, could never find on their website the listing)

I've installed both the schmiedmann and raceland headers on different cars, and I went with the raceland headers myself. The fitment was fine, there is a heatshied on the passenger side that you just have to bend slightly with either headers as the flange touches. If you go with raceland headers you can pick ANY catalytic converters you want I'd you are trying to keep it emissions legal, and just have them welded up in the midpipe. The schmiedmann headers come with their cats but they still trigger the SRS light.
As far as the eu2 tune goes, it will remove the post cat o2s and sap. If you know how to do it yourself you can, or what I did is I ordered a eu2 tuned dme from kassel performance and I was then able to keep my dme in case I ever needed it again.
What causes the 'wood' trim to fade or go dull like that? I'm guessing harsh chemical cleaners?
My car is a HOT tropical climate car, yet 'wood' and interior show's no sun damage at all.

If you park your car in a garage all the time it helps a lot to save it from sun damage
