You HAVE to wonder how many of those big intercoolers are actually attached to anything other than the support brackets. LOL
Nigel's shades came in and they are awesome!!!! I have 38% tint (35% is legal, so 38% gives a slight margin for error), and with the shades, in bright sun, my son was behind me in traffic and said that he could not see through the back window. Perfect! And can still pass an inspection. ;-)
Just got in the aluminum adjusters and DJ Auto EU-spec covers. Now to do some surgery and get all of that fixed. Headed to Tellico Plains, TN next weekend, then over to NC, then back home to MA.
WANTED to get to the German car show in Boston yesterday, but had to work on the wood floor in the upstairs hallway. I HATE priorities and having to pretend to be an adult. Ugh.
Yesterday I installed my new headlight lenses and my electric fan conversion. Today I washed it:
Diff drain plug started leaking so I replaced diff fluid and both aluminium crush washers for the drain/fill bolts. I used royal purple because OEM wasn't in stock anywhere. I must say, BMW is correct when they say permanent lube for my 2003 diff/trans fluids. What came out looked and smelled brand new after 148K miles and 12 years.
Not perfect up close but... The metallic really pops in the sunlight.

Went to a car show up in Hunter Mountain (Das Laufwerk), then went on a 400 mile road trip. Averaged about 28 MPG highway.
Gave her a sponge bath and got in my new HJS cats from Amazon.de! Having them put on tomorrow! Very excited considering I have a newly tuned stage 4 Dinan setup on the engine and magnaflow exhaust all being held back by clogged factory cats at 179k miles... The beast is about to come out of the cage!
Swapped out the passenger fender on my crashed car, that more or less finishes up body stuff.
I'm gonna be getting an m5 bumper soon as my current one has a hole in it, then I'm gonna need paint and some A/C work. After that I'll basically be back to pre-accident condition. Gonna need to figure out that knocking noise coming from the back of the engine though
I just refreshed my rear suspension, started last weekend and replaced one side, and get done another one today

What did you replace?
Got my bluetooth OBD adapter in the mail only to realize that I can't code via bluetooth. Still waiting on a new cowl kit, euro armrest, led angeleye bulbs, third brake light socket, and front cup holder. Suspension and wheels are next.
Got my new HJS cats custom welded into my magnaflow exhaust on the Dinan5...
Put a new suction hose on the reservoir to the PS pump.
For the most part, I finished cleaning the engine bay, although I still have a few details to go. It's looking pretty nice!
Looks good. The spot that really gets gunked up that is more than skin deep is where the oil filter housing attaches to the block. Usually a small leak ends up collecting quite a bit of dirt in that dark crevice that no one wipes down.

Spent SEVEN hours today replacing the headlight adjusters and installing Umnitza Euro-spec covers. The lights are '03, so I knew I was in for a job, but had no idea it would be sooooo difficult to get the crap cleaned out of there. No, heat did nothing for me. (I didn't expect it would, but tried the oven trick anyway.)
She looks 1,000 times better. Now to adjust the lights.
I pulled off a door. It's surprisingly easy!
New MAFs and Fuel pump and relay.
Ready for my 1400 mi trip to SC next week!
