Thanks for the reply !
I stopped by the local alternator shop , and showed the guy the Bosch alternator and the slight wobble at the pulley , and the guy said to " Run it ... " ... lol .
The pulley / shaft has a slight bend , but nothing crazy .
The guy said he sees that all the time ...
Looking for an E39 belly pan , passenger front inner fender liner …
Ha! Sounds like my grandparent's cat. He's indoor/outdoor, but he began putting on a bunch of weight when they had some new neighbors move in and begin feeding him, too. D'oh! A few words were exchanged and now he's a bit grumpy when he comes back sans second breakfasts, but he's doing alright haha.

Yup, gotta have fat pigs, the more bacon the better.
I’m thinking I should have a healthy salad for dinner tonight with just a few bacon bits on it, just for added taste.

Being retired military I've had enough SPAM to last several lifetimes so I usually stay away from it.. but in parts of the world where meat is a once a week or month thing and restaurants serve rather sketchy meats.. finding SPAM on the shelves is a sure way to not end up eating a cat or monkey meat or whatever feral fare they're serving. Hawaiians, Japanese (pretty much same same), Korea.. they've advanced the culinary art of SPAM to new levels.
Our next door neighbors are Korean and both are professors at the UofI here in town.. the husband only visits the states a few weeks a year but the wife is here most of the year. I suppose they found what works. A few weeks ago with the weather in the 30's there's a knock on the door and she wants me to fix her car.. a Toyota that won't start. I must have given her the stink eye without realizing.. my neighbors see me working on my own cars and assume I'm a mechanic for hire. I hate being profiled. Anyway, she was sick and wanted to get to the hospital so I took a quick look.. the battery terminals were corroded as hell.. I asked when the car was last serviced.. I get "serviced, what's that?" You know, where you take your car to the dealer and they check everything, change oil, antifreeze? "oil?" sigh.. turns out she has an 11 year old car that she bought new but has never taken it in for a service or oil chance. I cleaned the terminals and charged the battery and got her going.. giving her a list things she should do right now.. oil and filter change, cooling system service, replace the thread bare tires, have the brake linings checked.. She was shocked.
Anyway, she tried to pay me but I haven't worked on cars for money for a long time now.. so refused.. and today she brings me over muffins. Turns out its the first time she made muffins. She wanted to do something for me and found a boxed muffin mix and there they were. So I said in Korean I would rather have a jar of white radish kimchee if she can remember me next time she makes it.. she was shocked. I hope I get the kimchee.. the store bought stuff is horrible.
A great ending is all you'll see..

Parts for future job came in. Quarter window seals. Either it'll go smoothly, or I'll burn the car to the ground lol. 20230403_172133.jpg
I've heard that those are a real pita to install...
Anyone have any experience with this electric pressure washer? Curious how you like it.

I did the triangle window trim job a few years ago. I cut the windows out, replaced the trim, then glued them back in with 3M windshield adhesive. It was not fun, but I haven't had any issues with the repair so it was worth it.
I didn't fully remove the glue from the windows or the car, after the initial cut I used a razor blade to remove a little more glue from both the window and the car so that I had a smooth and roughly 1/16-1/8 inch gap to fill with new adhesive since that seemed like the best way to guarantee good adhesion. The glue is very sticky, smelly, and messy so wear an organic vapor respirator and clothes you don't care about.
The trim clips onto the window and properly locates it within the door shell, so you just have to apply the adhesive and put the window in, then tape it so it doesn't fall out while the glue sets.
Something that occurred to me only after I cut my windows out and could see exactly how everything fit together was that it might be possible to remove the "hooks" on the new window trim pieces that grab onto the window. You could then break apart and pull out the old trim piece, then just push the new trim into place and the door trim pieces would hold it in place once reinstalled. If you've got a junk yard with E39s nearby it might be worth it to go in and attempt part of the process before doing it on your own car.
I don't have any experience with that one, but for anything pressure-washer related I go to Obsessed Garage. Matt over there has built his business around his fussiness (diagnosed OCD) for pressure washers.
I currently have a Karcher "solution" (basic) from them, and I have no real complaints. The flow (GPM) is a little lower than ideal, but it's fine for home use.
If I were buying today, I'd go for an Active 2.0 Solution (Advanced). It's expensive, but the increased GPM is worth it, IMO. The 2.0 is on my wishlist for sure. You can also buy the unit by itself from OG with some basic attachments for $370.

I have a Karcher one too, much smaller than the one Nate linked too. It’s only 1500 PSI, fine for cars.
It was given to me by a BMW friend about 15 years ago that was moving into a condo and couldn’t use it.

I've heard good things about the Active 2.0. I'm running an AR Blue Clean AR630 and it's incredible. You can't go wrong with anything Matt endorses, he really spends the time finding the best stuff.

Thanks Nate. I had a Honda 3500psi gas powered washer that lasted about 15 years but recently gave up the ghost.. I rarely used it for cars, more for cleaning moss and mold from around the house. What I was hoping for was a wall mounted electric unit, where with a 100ft hose I could reach any car washing area and the front porch area which is all that normally requires care. But I went back a few years on Obsessions and Keav's reviews and noticed the wall mounted units are evolving fast and seem ti be getting less expensive for the same features.. which gave me pause.. do I really want the best one today, or maybe better to get a more modestly priced unit today and plan on replacing it with a more evolved unit in 3-4 years.. With that in mind I looked at the giraffe units again and noticed the Giraffe Plus+ in the reviews has the same pressure as their $600 model, but put out more water, had the same quality replaceable hose, same hose winder, but the $599 one had a more expensive induction motor.. and I don't think I'll wear the motor out in the Plus+ as often as I'll use it. I had it in my cart and then decided to think about it for a bit.. and did. So they sent me an email offering me a deal. Basically $323 shipped, less than half the price for the $599 unit as it ships. Same two year warranty, same pressure, same hose, just half the price and a somewhat louder motor that is rated for fewer hours.. so ordered it. We'll see in a few weeks..Thank you!

Ok so my wiper blades are fairly old. Replaced them in July 2020. Have actually held up great until about mid Feb where they started streaking pretty bad. Saw new BMW ones going for $98 at FCP. F-that!
Ended up getting the Bosch ones couple weeks ago and installed. Now they are already making an obnoxious clicking like noise during use. Did multiple adjustments, thoroughly cleaned the windshield too and no dice. Swapped the old ones back on to see if maybe the arms were messed up. Worked fine, no noise.
Gave the new Bosch and old wipers a good cleaning with rubbing alcohol, then hit them up with some silicone spray and sit overnight. Old blades got little bit better. Still streaky, but better than before and no noise. Bosch ones made no difference. Still had annoying clicking noise.
So while I was at the dealer couple hours ago picking up another part. I asked the parts guy on how much a new set of blades would be. Being they are $98 at FCP, I was expecting their price to be ludicrous like $120 or something. Turns out nope. Only $70. Still a ripoff. But considering the old set I bought in 2020 was only four dollars less at $66 and lasted this long, I decided to get them. Haven't installed them yet because I'm going to get the windshield replaced next week. So It'll be done then.
I might keep the Bosch ones and use them for summer only. Or punt them and keep the old blades for that instead.

I've been having the same issue, especially if you run them over an iced windshield. I bought a set of these to install during my spring maintenance coming up soon.. Cheap and supposedly very good.

Oh bloody hell! Got the wrong wiper blades. Didn't think to look earlier and they are G30 blades. Have to go back tomorrow and swap them. Dammit!
