I have to say that it does look nice.
This is very un-auaq post.

Nothing done to the M5 but I noticed today my fuel pump or the siphoning from the left side of the tank was acting up when I was low on gas. The fuel gauge was moving back and forth whenever I'm turning left. The range and the needle drops to zero range. In fact, the three hash lines were shown indicating no gas at all in the tank which isn't true really. Looks like I'm going to have to pull the rear seat and inspect the fuel pump and the lines on both sides.
Finally purchased a euro center armrest, cant wait for it to get here.
Finally found a good, reasonably-priced set of gray sport seats to replace my 18.5-year-old, 246,000 mile standard comfort seats with all the comfort of a cardboard box on cement. I also found out that two e39 sport seats will fit in the back seat of said e39 for transport purposes. I've been looking for a set for almost a year now and super happy to have scored these. Will be even happier once they are installed. A little Leatherique and they should look really nice.
Oh, and last weekend I replaced my Aux fan, replaced my cracked fog lights with used good-condition OEM ones, replaced the missing lower front bumper trim piece, replaced my old, nasty, yellowed headlight covers with new ones with the smoked turn signals, replaced the orange side repeaters with smoked ones (which I think I'll end up changing out for clear/white ones), and replaced my tail lights with OEM 2000 M5 tail lights. The car rewarded me by the third brake light bulb burning out.
So, let's see, that just leaves replacing the VANOS, a new oil pan gasket, full suspension refresh, fixing the moonroof, replacing the steering wheel, installing my GAS PCN and amp, possibly replacing the OEM speakers, installing my Bavsound Soundplicity III + SiriusXM, swapping out my gray carpet and floormats for black versions, installing the sport seats, repainting the fading exterior door handles, replacing the chromeline trim with shadowline, installing Style 32, 42, or 66 wheels in place of the stock Style 29s, re-tinting all the windows, eventual transmission rebuild or just full-on LSx swap...........I shouldn't have written all that out.

^if your wheels always stay that clean I need to know what brake pads you're running.
Cool picture indeed.

Cant say that I would pay $5k for a set of authentic LM's but quality is king and you get what you pay for in this world. That being said, I'm a huge fan of the styling be it reps, or the real deal.

Installed and coded new abs module... First one I got was DOA and seller sent me another that worked... Just had to code off the rear airbags as my car had them disconnected.
Also tried a different set of MAFs from a local m5 and confirmed mine are starting to give poor readings.
So ordered new mafs and new fuel pump and relay for reassurance for my coming road trip to South Carolina

DIY Changed oil, replaced vanos seals, new valve cover gasket. Replaced timing chain tensioner spring and also added some new NGK bkr6equp spark plugs. About 9 hour job all done today. First time ever doing it.
I must say I have never met this car before. Its amazing how these jobs can bring back so much low end torque. Feels like new.
54k on 2001 530iA sport.
Wiped of the garage dust this morning and took her to the German Car Day show at the Museum of Transportation.
On the way home just had to turn on the juice to show a few Asian rides they weren't so hot.
