She took $25 for those too. I'm like "why not.." Took them home and fed Race Ramp's into Amazon's search engine and was like.. "if these are real that's a heck of a deal." I have a set of old Craftsman metal ramps I haven't used since. I use the Race Ramps at least once a month since. Love them. Not so much for the weight reduction though that's nice, but mostly because they don't "clang" every time the each the deck or each other..

The lady was the landlord of a garage she rented out to University students and she told me this guy had a BMW and she gave me four 5 liter bottlel sof lquimoly oil, a couple filters, and some parts she didn't want. The guy had left without notice 60 days before and once the rent was up she wanted that stuff out and to re-rent her garage. Thanks BMW guy whoever you are..
Which race ramps did you get?

201 k miles, Engine V8 M62TU, I’d think the Castrol Synthetic 5w20 and 5w40 mixture is alright for this engine in cold winter weather ?

I think these are them. The single feature I like the most as far as ramps go, is that they don't skid or move as the car climbs them. Second would be the low weight, third the no "clang" feature..

Should be. I run Mobile One's formula for cars with over 170k miles on them (my car 'just' qualifies) coupled with the high mileage formula that provides protection for 15,000 miles. I change it every 3k so not sure that last part matters.
A great ending is all you'll see..

Gave the car a badly needed bath. Then picked up some oil. Due for change soon. Need to get an oil filter and that'll be that.

Hi Manny, been a long time since you were here, how’s the family? Is the car fixed yet. I’m painting the hotrod, it won’t be long till it’s finished.
Last night was stayed in Las Cruces, didn’t realize how close it was to you. We could have had a few beers and got in trouble with our better half’s but we hiked up the Organ mountain then got steaks. We’ve been to Cloudcroft in the past, cool little village.
In Silver City now, going to get another steak tonight at The Buckhorn in Pinos Altos. From the outside it looks like it hasn’t been open for 50 years. I’ll just tie my horse up out front. Excellent food, been there before.
Don’t be a stranger, pop in more.

That's so cool, did that in my Club Tigra and Club Opel days. No one to do it here with and even the e39.ro is almost dead. They did meetings untill 2019, I think.

    NOT A DAMN THING!!!

Actually, it took 2 months, but I finally replaced the rear gate and glass shocks. The gate shocks made all the difference. I also have this small list of schyt to do:

    - replace both valve cover and gaskets gaskets (all parts sitting in garage)
    - pull all door cards and verify vapor barrier seals are still intact
    - Look at both rear door handle to latch mechanism (door doesn't always open when using the outside handle)
    - Replace both fog lights (one bad, one good)
    - wash the bad bytch
    - get all the food out of the backseats from the kids.
    - enjoy a beer

Went out for a drive in the Columbia gorge and backroads. Got caught in a crazy downpour, roads were partially flooded in some spots. Hit the freeway at one point and had a couple nerve wracking moments where I damn near hydroplaned trying to get by a semi.

Once I got out of the storm, I got off the freeway and hit the dry backroads. Then I had another "oh s**t" moment. Came up on a straight stretch of road where the limit is 40, but I blasted it up to 70...then passed right by a state trooper hiding behind some large brush. Thought I was dead in the water, but shockingly, he didn't come after me.

Though still not as lucky when I blasted by another trooper couple years ago doing 130 in a 50 zone! Of course he was going in the opposite direction hauling ass too.

I run straight 5w40 at 210k miles, it usually hangs around 28-30 degrees here at the coldest but it's supposedly going to be 11 this weekend. Might go start it up just to see what it does.

Bought GooLoo GT3000 Jump Starter couple of weeks ago, this jump starter is a little beast, it starts my wife's X5 V8 and my son's Cayenne S V8 right away.

I'm a little luckier. We are in the 6"-12" band at the moment.

Don't get me started, WTF is wrong with people. It's not a two week storm! The store will be open the next day! Ok maybe in 48 hours if there is a dig out. It blows my mind.

The generic human animal is a weak being. The first that beak down when something out of the general normal occurs, draws them all out. My theory is, these same generic bottom of the barrel types, that would be the same ones that do the mad rush to the grocery just because a storm is coming, Fauci’s Covid21…. re-occurs just in time for mid terms, and the next election, Godzilla is coming to town, are also the same ones that drive very badly as soon as they are out of their normal elements, like for instance, the ones that drive badly because they are lost, or are in unfamiliar areas, and suddenly the basic common rules of the road fly out the window. The weak fold as soon as abnormal occurs.

And I’m a lot luckier now that we moved to the southwest. The only snow is above 7K feet, were at 5400.

I’m amped. Potential totals could be over 3 feet!! Really depends on how it goes but it’s gonna be a good one! Just hope the power stays on.

Moved the snow blower from in-front-of the 528 to in-back-of the 528 next to the garage door before the blizzard. And, of course, had to go on a spirited drive while the car was out of the garage. And NO I didn't stop for milk and bread. I did pick up some wine & Maker's Mark, tho. (Two necessities during a blizzard!)

Ah, Maker’s Mark would make a nice companion with snow blowing.
When the storm is over I want to see some pics of what I’m gladly missing.
This is one of the reasons we bailed out of MA.
