I was crediting it to the fact that its sat for 2 days, and tho its garage kept, this all went haywire right before the blizzard.
Never took so, long, to start. But thanks I'll check that out

Haven't done it yet but I'll replacing the fuel pump on the M5 after work today.

It decided to stop working on the way to work today and I had it towed to Bimmerzone which is right by my work fortunately.

They already got a new pump in for me so hopefully there won't be any issues for me getting it installed.

Hey did you get the pump only or the whole assembly? I'm thinking to pop the pump only but I see most people did the assembly.

Anyone suggests one way or another? The assembly is just way too much compared to the pump only.

I figured every dealer would be out of them. How much did they put you back? Square or staggered?

ECS Tuning will still sell you a brand new set, as it is a BMW part.

A brand new, staggered E39 set of M-Parallels is close to $2000: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...1222963540~kt/

Given that it's pretty easy to refinish these wheels, it's almost always more economical to just buy a used set and have a good shop refinish them.

You can also buy a set of new style 65's if you're truly insane: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...36112228950kt/

It was the whole assembly, expensive but I needed the car to be driveable the same day so it was my only choice.

When I did it on my 528 though i just got the pump, it just involves a bit of extra labor swapping the pump into the old assembly but it isn't hard.

Sweet! I will definitely get the pump only; it only makes sense. One more question though, was the plastic assembly brittle and was is super brittle if so? That is my only worry. I hate to brake something and then I am stuck and need to wait for an assembly and return the pump only.

It wasn't brittle on either of my cars so you should be ok! Just be careful with it and you should be all good.

Those are staggerd and I got them from Schmiedmann in Denmark as I am in the Euro area. I got a good deal on them (better then the ECS deal), bought tires for the whole family while I was at it so shipping wasn't too bad. I just love the sevice of Schmiedmann!

Watch out for the ECS set's, if you add each wheel seperatly (and center rings and all what is in the set) in your cart you get the cart for $500 less then if you buy a "set"

That's a good tip. One that they'll undoubtably correct as soon as they see this.
If your e30 runs bad, switch to Megasquirt first. Then try new spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires, oxygen sensor, crank shaft position sensor, coolant temp sensor, air flow meter, idle control valve, throttle position sensor, digital motor electronics unit, harmonic balancer, fuel injectors, engine harness...

Scrapyard time. I saw a picture of a 528i in the yard that has what appears to be an OEM m5 bumper, crossing my fingers

I bought a new set too. Used is nice in theory, unless you can inspect them in person I'd steer clear of the bent junk fellow board members or eBayers have a habit of selling.

$1,354.08 for staggered m-pars +center caps +shipping from thebmwminipartstore.com. That's where I got my Style 66 wheels. Shipping was around $50 from Ohio to Michigan.

I bought a used set of E38 M-Pars, had a shop bore them out to 74.1mm, and then I had a shop straighten the wheels to get rid of a few bends.
