Are those from the ebay seller for $700 or best offer? Been looking at them for awhile now... been very tempted...

Same mounting dimensions. As Nate states the M5 version core is thicker and there are extra fins for better cooling. I bought mine off Rockauto for a fair price and it dropped right in with no clearance issues.

It's drop in but be aware of facelift / non-facelift hoses aka if the rad has snap fittings and you don't...

Shoot, mine has regular hoses, with hose clamps.

YOu can adapt. If you snip the clamps off the snap fittings on the hoses they pull off... in some cases the hose might stretch to fit your barb. Or maybe you steal the snap fittings off a new hose and then stick one on the end of a non-snap hose, lightly trimmed for length?

Another point worth mentioning: the V8 cars have a line running into the radiator drain for the automatic transmission cooler, but that is an easy fix.

And yes, the M5 radiator uses the facelift-style clip-on hose connectors.

Nate the rad is same, uses the same fitting type. Manuals and I6 get the blue plug, but that hose plugs into same port. Totally immerchameabul.

Mine is a manual, so only 2 hoses. If it can use the regular hoses the better.

BTW Lets maybe start a separate thread if you want to talk about your radiator upgrade questions and answers.. this thing is gettin' polluted... 1 or 2 off topic questions/dialogs is one thing... but once it becomes a conversation.... (and I know I'm guilty of answering the questions here several times...) should move to its own thread...

What I did for my E39 today? OK... yesterday at least, I hit the junkyard:

    - LCMIV from an E53... been lookin for one for ages. No LWR but I've had my LWR disconnected for years anyway... but I'm not sure if my car has external LWR or not so... maybe that's a non issue anyway... (ongoing research project...)
    - Passenger footwell 'roof' plastic trim to replace mine which flopped down periodically due to some PO's mech not knowing how to remove it and breaking the clip like a retard
    - New sunroof switch - I recently rehabbed mine and came out great and is working mint, but the print is worn off, and this one is super clean (obv one of those dickhead owners who never used the sunroof...) Probably I'll pull this one apart and rehab it inside too, then swap it.
    - Really crappy foglight (best of 3 really crappy ones I could find...) which I'll only be stealing the glass out of for mine which got rock-whacked AGAIN just after I fixed it 6 mos ago
    - Factory glovebox flashlight - I'm sure battery is long since nuked but what the hell... maybe someday I'll try one of those "LED + LiON retrofit" projects
    - E46 glove box latch to try to mod/steal parts from / use for fabrication to fix my failing 'vert one (won't be a drop in, vert has a special deal but I wanted parts to mess with for creative purposes...)
    - Some other little tossed-in-the-bag crap I'm not remembering

Yard basically seems to have charged $35 for the LCM and the rest thrown in... (or maybe "$30 for module, $5 for the crap") That seems to be how they do things... if you come through with the little crap they might charge you $5 each for it, but if you buy at least one proper item, the rest is all "sure whatever... Ok lessay $5 for all that junk..." I kinda learned to try to at least buy one proper thing that is worth $20 any time I want to march out with a buncha crap. I also figure they're charging you for all the little shit they figure that you are stealing in your bag ad the same time (which I don't even tho' I know most guys doo... stupid morals gettin in the way again... )

I grabbed two nice brake ducts and the spats for the I6 thrust arms from my local Pick your Part. Mine cracked on a particularly brutal speed bump that I just plain missed and slammed into. I still need to find a nice belly pan, as when the brake ducts were pushed up it tore the belly pan in half.

Wash the car, then use Mothers Speed Clay 2.0 synthetic clay pad to clean the paint, then finished with Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish, quick and easy, suppose to protect up to one year, she is shiny again.

Drove the 540 over to a buddy's house that is building a '36 Ford hotrod with of course an LS engine.
He's got two 3-car garages. One garage has a full sheet metal shop with everything you would ever need.
Gave him some parts I didn't need for him to use on his build.

Did timing chain guides, tensioners, cam phasers (the equivelant to VANOS) and a new oil pump on my Ford F-150's 5.4 liter engine. I guess it's practice for when my 540's guides are due. Lol

Rolled over 216,000 miles in the 540it yesterday. Haven't done too much to it other than get a proper alignment. It drives nice and straight now which is real nice.
