Dropped off some new thrust arms to get the bushings pressed out, so I can install them with the new wheel speed/abs sensors at the same time.

I have such a pile of things sitting there for the E39, time has been a hard one this year.
M5 front & rear bars, Carbon hamann front splitter, CSL style spoiler, brembo front big brake kit, valve cover gaskets, heater valve rebuild kit, wheel speed sensors, list goes on...

It doesn't cost as much when the parts all sit there right? haha

    Cheers

Sure it does, you just tend to forget how much it was, screw it, it’s only money, can’t take it with you when you earn your wings.

I added up the parts cost of my recent service work. It came to more than $5000 before I stopped adding... smh.

Got the center link out and found lots of place under the driver side bushing. Waiting until my new outter tie rods come in to put everything back in.

Flying out to Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow to go visit some family... I rented a cop-spec Crown Vic while I'm there— it was stupid cheap and I've always loved the Panther platform so it's kind of a win-win, haha.

I use the shock method when possible to remove ball joints. Using a BFH on the knuckle will save the ball joints

Couple of pics from our track day. Jonathan (@budgetbuiltM54) came out with us. Even took my scion for fun and found out they were doing a Toyota Time Attack series so we entered it and took home 2nd place in our class.

Oh, and our other friend threw a rod from his ZHP. Very interesting weekend lol

Car wouldn't start this morning leaving for work.
Got a jump, and took it to the mechanic.
They found a 200 milli-volt drain. Still trying to figure out where it is coming from.
    Ideas ?

Most likely FSU or hood switch. If it's hood switch, just unplug it and it should be fine.

Couldn’t he also just unplug the FSU for a night or two as well? It’s not a critical component.

Hooked up our shops AC machine to my 528 before I went home, AC got ice cold, but was not so cold in stop and go traffic. Figured it was a bit low on 134 or something. Sucked it all out, it was low, sucked out 1.26lbs of refrigerant, E39’s get 1.65lbs, with +/- 0.02, held it under vacuum for 5 mins, all good, o leaks, filled it with an ounce of new oil, and 1.64lbs of 134, NOW, IT IS SIBERIAN ICE COLD!!! YEAH!!!

Polished a headlight, still not happy with it. I need to build my new ones, had parts for a year now.
Installed all the black tailgate trim. Redid my rear doors the tweeter speaker is fake in the sedan but real in the touring. So I switched those out and installed my BSW tweeters. The Dynavin N7 and BSW speakers is a pretty damn solid set up.
Just need to detail it for car show this weekend, Eurohanger in Holland,Michigan.

Interior swaps are done so time to sell my winterbeater and get a legit pick up truck.
Also have a extra black dash, console, door cards and a set of style 33's that need to go.

Nice. I had my body shop recharge my AC after they painted the hood, fenders, and bumper. Ice cold all the time. Still not as cold as my 95 Camry, with its factory R12 charge.

Just bought a 1999 528i touring with 192k for 2600. One owner since 2001 and alpine white with some goodies. Loving it so far and I am familiar with the E39 thanks to my 530i I sold a couple years ago.

Ordered facelift chrome kidney grills, a 4 pack of Mann oil filters, and some titan silver gauge rings off the bay with a $15 off coupon.

The journey begins again! Looking forward to being back in an E39 as I'm selling my E92 335i.

Welcome back! There’s something irresistible about the E39. I think it’s the last classic BMW, or the first modern one.

SES light (I think we are more familiar with the CEL light) ended up being a single coil pack failure. Car ran really crappy when cold and had hesitation on acceleration. Replaced belts, oil change and transmission fluid. Time for some spirited driving.
