Mercedes still making great product, friend has an E350 and I quite enjoy riding in it.

Thankfully I did nothing to my E39 today and I still have some $ in my wallet. Recently suspension fully rebuilt front and rear, shifter rebuilt, new tires and rims, its good to go. Tackling the VANOS will be next, but not yet.

Fixed the seat twist on the drivers side and changed spark plugs. Next week or so will be thrust arms and brake pads/fluid.

Had my upper coolant hose start to bulge last night so today I went ahead and replaced my thermostat along with the upper radiator hose, and swapped the idler pulley I had gotten from AutoZone with one I pulled off a parts car because the one from AutoZone was rubbing on the tensioner bracket... but now the problem is solved for now, probably gonna do a coolant flush at some point this week and switch from the green coolant to oem BMW coolant. Tired of replacing the cooling system once a year so I'm hoping that helps. Hoping the paint shop calls me on Monday to tell me my bumper and spoiler are ready to be picked up.

Go ahead and try G05, was\is BMW approved + cheap.

I've got it mixed with normal Prestone because lazy, they're both fine for the car.

I'll keep that in mind, usually I just use regular green 50/50 mix with some royal purple purple ice stuff to keep the temp lower since I live in arizona

Eh, not really. I grew up there. As military I've retained my residency. But I live north of Seattle.

But, all the cars have oregon plates.
The bmw's got rip city plates

Here's some mediocre pics from today. I really need to sort out the interior trim. PO covered it with an alcanatara type of fabric, but I really don't like it. Would prefer the silver metallic trim.
