Phoned the online supplier in Canada and verbally cancelled an order for KONI yellows. After a month, they tell me that now 1/2 the order won't be available until August. I'm better off looking in the USA - even with the duty on shocks, I guess.

Ahh, bodywork!! So rewarding to do for yourself, so not worth it for a living.
As enthusiasts, everyone should do some. But if you were paying for it, would you accept what you did?
Around here shop rate is still only 58-60 an hour and 30 for paint materials.

Anybody ever encounter the trifecta lights after replacing their brake pads and or rotors? Got the trifecta lights today so I jacked it up and checked the front 2 wheel speed sensors wires and cleaned the sensors. They seemed to be covered in metallic shavings that I'm guessing are from the pads. Anyways, I left the drive way to test it out and the lights immediately went out. If that's the cause, then man these things are sensitive!

Got saw dust on the touring while cutting molding in the garage. Took it down a road less traveled to blow it off. Decided to turn off the DSC and did a burn out then to turn back did a 180 burnout, whatever that's called, and headed home. Felt nice since I haven't driven her in a while.😊

Heck yeah. I did a burnout in my 2000 540it the other day, it was nice. I definitely need to put in an LSD at some point, tired of one-legged burnouts.

Im 99.999999998% sure I don't have an LSD but I leave 2 distinct lines. Am I stupid or should this not happen? I feel really dumb now. Maybe its the lack of sleep idk.

On a good note, power steering pump did not eat itself, the idle tensioner however did. Should be back up to running status next week.

I think if you have the exact same amount of traction you can spin both wheels with an open diff. Not sure though

Test drove a MB E55 AMG that in comfort mode was worse than the 540i with FA 500s on the street (great on the track, though). The guy selling said "the only diff between comfort and sport II is you can feel the steering is more responsive". Hmmmm, says I, don't think that MB would have a comfort mode that rattles the fillings out of your teeth.
