I didn't know I had one either than I saw it wasn't connected so I plugged in the sensor and it worked. but the locking mechanism is broken and jammed in the lock position so had to remove it.

Appreciate the advice! Every e39 owner with bad shocks can feel the pain in this picture. What have I gotten myself into *facepalm*. Figured I'd redo my horrid fabric as well, I already have it out.

I need to pop mine out again and put felt on it or something. Ever since doing my shocks, it's so squeaky. I drove around a bit without that padding in. It's amazing how much noise that thing reduces.

Hmmm. I didn't know you could do the rear shocks/rear deck without removing the back seat.

Yeah, that fabric gets ruined back there. I was amazed how faded mine was when I pulled it out.

Honestly it's just a place holder for the time being. It's better than the sagging crap that was on there and if you squint, have poor vision, and it's dark outside it looks oem.

Today I learned that fabric has two sides, one is stuck in the 80s and one is European style. I probably should of asked somebody that has actually worked with fabric before. I couldn't take the fuzz so with pain in my eyes I removed the fabric and shall start anew.

having just done this, and considering the price of the driveshaft cv joint + the labor to remove and R&R and install, i just did the TX driveshaft repair route. they sent me a completely refurbished unit, balanced and ready to mount, with all new joints, for near what the cv joint alone costs.

I wish I knew that! This is my 2nd joint because when I was first restoring this car I stayed up for 48 hours straight and did ALOT of work because I was going to drive it across the country, and I sure did. But I apparently ripped the boot pretty bad and didn't notice it. Fcp lifetime warranty though!

First pic is utah 2nd is Colorado
    Quite a haul from NC
Hoonigan burn yard at long beach
    And s*** car lol

Hooked up a trickle charger to the 528 since I haven't driven it in over two weeks, being in work-from-home mode. I'll have to take a drive in the country this weekend.

    - backup camera via TV module
    - rear fog light retrofit
    - Bluebus w/Digital DSP (sound quality is impressive)

Choice modifications there, nice! How was the TV module/backup cam retrofit? I’ve wanted to do that but haven’t done enough research yet. Is there a guide that you used?
