2. Read BMW ECU
3. Write key with VVDI 2

Nah, very few tools can mess with CAS4 successfully and it is a hell of a risk. Ok, around $300 of risk
2014 must have 1N35H or 1L15Y inside which is out of reach for this tool.
i had two video from Digital-Kaos forum, two BMW CAS4 key operation, One add key cas4+ 2014. One all key lost cas4+
seeing is believing. They appear to have accomplished their experiment.
add CAS4+ key

CAS4+ all key lost

I know it works......sometimes. The question is what happens when CAS data gets corrupt?
Also openning the DME in such a way doesnt look very nice. It excludes cars still in warranty.
MY experience - use VVDI2 Program BMW CAS3 Key

I know this is an old thread, but ive been looking for a programmer to make a couple spears for my mothers 08 535xi wo comfort access. I seen a couple of these programmers on ebay. One was like $160 and the others were $340. I couldnt see any differences in them, except a newer version, the descriptions look the same, but ive never used anything like this before. If i just want to make a couple spares, will the cheaper one work?

Interesting, in the little box for the description of the cheaper one, it says 2014 and 2015 versions, the key programmer doesnt cover bmw, but this thread says it does. Now im really confused lol. Ive been searching for a programmer for this damn car for a few weeks now. Almost got the ak90 because it says it does cas and most bmw's up to 2009 or 2010, but luckily i didnt because it doesnt do most of the cas keys. I just want to get a damn programmer thats not ridiculously expensive. My mom bought 2 blank keys for her car because she thought since we had inpa, ista p, ista d, that we could do everything the dealership could, which we pretty much could, just not keys lol. Our dealership charges over $250 per key, so as long as we can get a programmer for like $300-400 it would be worth it.
