^^^^ cant wait to get that car.....
Uggg I hate how you cant upgrade your car to max when doing your champaign... you gotta look at the line up... I.E. A class tops out at 700 but most races will only let you max out at 660.
Awesome! My gamertag is "iorra". I don't play all too often, and when I do, I generally just do online drifting for a round or two and hop off. My favorite car right now is the 850CSi
Get on it! The campaign thing is pretty dumb. It's fun to do different setups, but the AI is pretty ridiculous and it doesn't feel like you're actually working towards anything.
I'm no dorifto master but maybe I'll see you online sometime!

So I need a little help. I want to make a shop livery for the E30 M3 for a race I'm doing, but the E30 shape really sucks for painting. I've started a couple things and wanted to get some input:
I'm going for a Fina-type thing on the car's left side, but I have a more solid-fill type design on the right. I think I prefer the left, but it's hard to say. I also changed the rockers from side to side and can't decide which I prefer.

I'll add ya tonight!
As far as your design goes, that's tough! Instead of having the yellow stripe on the drivers side fender move up over the hood and stop awkwardly on the hood, why don't you carry it forward and down the bumper to the ground?

I added you, Mike!

On a separate note... I LOVE the Horizon series Forza games. Horizon 2 kicked BUTT. It was just a hair on the arcade-y side for me, physics wise. With the announcement of Forza Horizon 3, I'm REALLY hoping they make it a little more simulator-esque as Forza 4,5,6 were. Then it will be golden!
This was my inspiration for the hood, but I admit I don't know what to do with the front valance yet:

Ah I see what you are going for. It seems a little off with plain doors. I bet if you added your Vintage Racing stuff along the sides it'd fill out and look killer.
Drivers side looks better IMO.
Yeah, this is very early so I still have to add number circles and logos in different places. I'll work on it a bit more later and update!
Yeah, I agree. I think I may move the front fender "sweep" a bit higher. I think I'll end up with two or three designs kind of like I did with the Alfa TZ.

The ferrari and the R91CP look interesting, but I don't know if I can stomach spending any more money on this game.

It doesn't, it only allows the first six car packs. I use a few cars from those, but not most.

that makes sense.
I'm lazy and don't want to try each one to find the right one, but which 60s F1 car should I be using (i.e. which is easiest to go fastest)? I got the Lotus and it was ridiculous...couldn't even finish a lap at Rio without rewinding through basically every corner.
Brabham is the easiest to go quickly in I'd say, but you need to get comfortable with giving it more throttle than you think it should get to rotate the car into and out of corners.
P.S. Watch this and bask in the glory that is Jim Clark:

Big thumbs-up! I met Allan Moffat last year and he told me about working with the Woods Brothers on Jim's Lotus 38. He was basically Jim's drink guy, but Clark took the time to talk with him and learn about his dreams of racing. The more I learn about Jim Clark, the more untouchable he becomes.

Sick!
Is that from the Project Scorpio demo? Is that 4K? It's obviously more than 1080, but I dunno what the numerical resolution of 4K is.

For the '70s indycar race or whatever it is - Lotus on long, fast tracks, McLaren on only the tightest tracks (I forgot the exact one, but there is one track its definitely fastest). Ferrari is my go-to though and works for the biggest number of tracks - I usually run the Ferrari every race.
Don't forget to get a tune. It gives a pretty distinct advantage.
Yup!
