Lol, I showed my wife the video, and the first thing she noticed was the roundel! I hadn't caught it :o)
But seriously, nice work, and to add to the comment above, "nicest e30" includes the e30 m3's. When nice examples of those are apparently going for over $100k, that leaves a wide berth for selling price!

Great video and that powerband!
Very nicely done! Absolutely amazing attention to every detail on this build.

That didn't take long. Congrats on the quick sale.
If your e30 runs bad, switch to Megasquirt first. Then try new spark plugs, cap and rotor, wires, oxygen sensor, crank shaft position sensor, coolant temp sensor, air flow meter, idle control valve, throttle position sensor, digital motor electronics unit, harmonic balancer, fuel injectors, engine harness...
I love how the end result looks like something that BMW could have built.
do you miss it yet?
also, never noticed you had the MarkD tune- how do you like it? now that my headers have arrived, the thought of a tune had crossed my mind.

He sold it locally to a r3vlimited member / friend. It didn't sell on ebay.

Damn!
Stuk- This was excellent work and I like to go back over your build hoping that I might someday be able to put a car together of this quality. Have a specific question to you or anyone else, what tape did you use to renew the wiring harness? There is a BMW part, is that the best option?
BMW P/N 61136902588
It is sold is 25 meter rolls. About a dollar a meter.

You can pick up 3M none Sticky adhesive tape at home depot if you don't need 25 meters. Great stuff, which you cannot tell from the original! And in smaller usable rolls. I don't have the packaging now or I'd post part number. It is in the left side of HD, not near electronics or electrical It is p/n 3407 na ba 6 and is called friction tape. Absolutely great stuff and less than $3'a roll, which will go a very long way!

Nearly every home depot is set up differently. Left side of your local home depot is a pretty useless fact.

I prefer friction tape over the vinyl stuff for most applications; especially ones like cars where you might have higher temperatures. Home depot carries it in their electrical aisle but you have to look hard for it. Easiest is to search it on the web site and check store inventory. I'd bet most of the other big retailers carry it too. Your local Ace or True Value should have it too.

Stuck, what did you use to reinforce the interior flaps on the IHKS unit? My second replacement unit is on the way as the first two assemblies (original unit and first replacement) just fell apart. BTW, I took your inspiration and tore down my unit, replacing all the seals and cleaning it up in general. Putting a new carpet in and had to pull it out anyway. Thanks for the instruction and pictures, they were invaluable.
Truly amazing thread...Stuck, you really created a Schmuckstuck!! Very, very impressive work. Cant believe you sold it.
