    FS: 1996 e36 328is (LTW flywheel, M3 exhaust, M50) -- $800

    All,

I'm selling a lightly-modded 1996 328is, which I've owned the car since Sept 1999 (paid $21,900). The car will not currently pass Texas inspection as it has an air leak under the intake manifold and parking brake doesn't work. I suggest using it as a fun race-car or for parts. The car was once stripped to 2600 lbs, as I planned to race it, but never did due to all the costs. I've since put much of the interior back into the car, but left the door panels off in the pictures.

    $800 takes it

    Details and light mods:

    1996 328is (owned since Sept 1999)
    207k miles
    M50 intake manifold
    JB Racing 10lb LTW flywheel
    M3 Cat-back exhaust
    MAF-less, 3" intake, 3" sweep + K&N large cone

Texas-based car, never seen snow or salt. I'm selling for $800.

    THE GOOD:

Still pretty quick, sounds great and doesn't burn any oil.
Has had Mobil 1 nearly all its entire life, the last 2 oil changes have been Mobil 5k oil.
Redline ATF in transmission, Redline in diff.
No rust, has never seen snow.
Tires in very good condition, front brakes done 3 months ago. A/C compressor and 1 line installed last year, but never recharged.
Clutch grabs well, replaced about 10k ago.
Comes with some additional parts accumulated over the years; 2 additional wheels, extra alternator, 2 MAFs

    THE BAD:

Front struts are completely blown, suspension is sloppy.
Leaks oil, about a 1 1/2 quarts every 1000 miles.
Both window motors have died. I've removed the door panels to raise/lower the windows, and they will be provided with the car.
Interior needs work, Texas summers haven't been good to plastic pieces or the driver seat. The carpet was torn in 2010.
A/C needs charging. I suggest not bothering unless you make it inspection/road legal.
Has the stereo head-unit, but no speakers/amps. I removed it previously for weight, it wasn't very good anyway.

Comes with the original MAF, airbox, door panels, an additional alternator, 2 additional OEM 15" wheels (same style on the car) and the original intake manifold.

    $800

    Thank you,
    Chris
