How about Black on Black? You know what they say...

Installed a second set of Factory wheels on my GT3 today. Now it's full on Darth Vader.
To keep on topic, this was the first time I drove this Porsche since I acquired my BMW. Had to burnish the brakes in, after installing new rotors/pads/tires. Been driving the M3 everyday since it arrived in Colorado, loving it!

    Love your GT3! Looks awesome!

Not sure it matters much, but I think I like the silver wheels better. Either way, you can't go wrong for sure!

I took my mostly stock (worn out KW coilovers, cat delete, throttle body, ASC delete, RE-11 tires, Porterfield R4-S pads) 99 M to Carolina Motorsports Park for a DE with the Carolinas PCA over the weekend. I used to have a track prepped 84 Carrera until it got totaled, so until I get another Porsche the M3 is the track car. I thought it did quite well considering how much work it needs.

Anyway, I am still in Blue (Solo) and the M3 did well. I could brake later and gain quite a bit in the corners and hang with most on the straights. Until a green student got promoted to Blue on Sunday. He was driving a 2015 GT3 and went by me like I was chained to a post.

I don't understand why anybody would want to start their DE career in a car like that.

Ugh love that gt3. e36 m3, 964 and 997 gt3 is my idea of a near perfect garage.

    - 98 m3, techno/anthrazit cloth, 124k and officially worthless - 89 m3, alpine/black 143k and officially old - 2000 323it, tiag/grey, 169k and officially boring

Took the M3 on a 1200 mile road trip last weekend,...Durango to Lost Wages, Nevada. Sure was nice to have plenty of trunk space for all my GF's stuff! A nice change of pace compared to packing a 911.

Car ran perfect except for one minor issue that was quickly remedied. At a stop in St. George, UT the low pressure power steering hose aged out and finally gave way. PS fluid all over the right side of engine compartment and undercarriage. The BMW gods were on my side as the hose gave way a block from a great BMW shop! What are the odds?

Big thank you to John @ Rucci European Service. John is a longtime BMW expert who repaired the leaking hose in about an hour, on a busy Friday afternoon.

All in all a great trip that has me really appreciating these M3's!

The fact that a 997 GT3 owner still enjoys driving an e36m just makes me all warm and fuzzy. These cars truly have driving charm.

Since I'll never afford a GT3, the M3 will have to fill that spot.

A shot of the odometer and car today. Hard to believe this car has been driven more in the last 4 months, than it averaged on an annual basis the last 16 years!

    Happy Thanksgiving !

After winter hibernation I took the M3 out last weekend for a quick 400 mile round trip to ABQ and back. Nothing like driving the NM autobahn in a car clearly made for the task.
I have to admit I've considered selling it. Too many cars. After the drive, hmmmm so good, what to do?

I am the same(996 turbo) but not as nice as your whips. Sadly the m3 has to go because of garage space issue.

Should have kept the DS2s, not a fan of the black rims...

Glad you're enjoying the car though

    997 Turbo
I'm a Porsche owner too....Also in the market for a E36 M3, I should have never sold my Alpine white one. I love my 997 Turbo, but theres something about these e36's. Anyone selling a clean coupe??

It's these kind of posts that make people not want to post pics of their cars, because the elitists who think anything other than stock/modded to conform with the other elitists is trash and rice.

Nice car OP, looks really good.
I second this comment. Nice rajicase.

I am an E36M3 enthusiast that wants a 997.2TT. Might be a few years so I put a turbo on the E36.

DS2's are the best looking factory wheel on any E36 imo. i bought a set and the contours have been sitting since.

I would venture to say that LTWs are the best looking E36 wheel, I may be just a little biased though.

Damn it! I know this car but never heard it was for sale. It lived about a mile from my house. R Grupper huh? You bought this from Johnny Riz's wife's friend Sheila? Damn it! I would have bought this car in a second.

Look at my username. I was all about early 911's and had a wicked fast, street legal, track beast '73 RS clone, a '69S and a '70T. In 2002 I bought my first M3 and after daily driving it, then doing several canyon runs and finally tracking it one time, I phased 3 early 911's out of my life and phased in another e36 M3 and an e30 325is. I just giggle myself silly when I look at BMW parts and repair prices compared to Porsche stuff.

Bullet Performance in Costa Mesa has been servicing my '99 for 14 years now. Great shop and great guys!

Looking at the side bolsters of a lot of the vaders it's clear people get obese over these m3s lol.
