Been a while since the last race and felt like the season got over already. However, with the sudden demise and passing away of the young F1 driver Jules Bianchi, the world of F1 have been silently mourning his death and paying condolences from all over the world. Saddened by the shock and tragic news, there are no words to express of how gutted we feel. We only hope that F1 and Fia will work even closer now than ever to improve and ensure the absolute safeness of our drivers, the marshals, the fans, and the sport itself. To implement better control and safety measures in any circumstance that may arise upon where death can totally be avoided or at least be circumvented. Be it the drivers, the brave marshals, and the fans. Nobody wants to witness such a tragedy and lose another great talent.

Vettel's within striking distance of Rosberg if the latter has a bad weekend.
Any word on anticipated weather conditions?

You know the old F1 site was so good where weather info was readily available. The current format is just not working and isn't too technical like it used to be.

That is the best track map I've ever seen. Where'd you get it?

Looks like it's going to be a scorcher of a weekend. Air temps are at 34C (93F) and track temps are as high as 51C (124F).

Apparently the McLarens will be using new PUs this weekend. Will be interesting to see if it makes a difference. Maybe another point or two?

I lost track on some 2016 driver changes/rumours but is Alonso staying at Mecca?
New engines for both of them but the engines are old spec. They haven't spent any more tokens.
Yeah, Alonso has a multi year deal with McLaren. Still the highest paid driver in F1. Hamilton is 2nd highest now.
Perez had a massive shunt that left his car upside down in FP1 this morning - the right rear suspension just snapped in half (looked like the lower right diffuser was shaking up a storm just prior to the failure). Kimi's front wing fell off of his Ferrari.
Merc still really really fast. Ferrari appears about half a second off the pace then RBR. Williams just doesn't have the downforce needed by this track.
About to start watching FP2 now.

So, there was a three week layoff between races, now a month for summer vacation?
Barring mechanical issues, doubt ROS will be on the podium this weekend. HAM will run away with it. Could be interesting for remaining podium spots.

Rosberg was fighting setup issues - start of quali his car suddenly had major understeer. Seems better in Q3 but still not quite right.
Podium: Ham, Ros, Vet = unless it rains. There's a small chance of thundershowers.
Ricciardo may be able to pull something out of the hat because he's the only one with a fresh (unused) set of Options available. I've got a feeling that the interesting bits are going to be:
The start, and tire strategy (maintenance). If Ricciardo can run option, prime, option when everyone else does option, option, prime, he may look very good at the end of the race.
Nice to see RBR mixing it up a bit at the front.
Bottas said he "felt like he got the max out of qualifying," so I'm not expecting much from the Williams duo. Would be nice for them not to lose track position, a P5 even better.

Pretty much a Hamilton victory in tomorrow's race. Pretty dominated all three FP and all three Q1,2,3.
Welp we pretty much know how this one's going to end. Hope to see some good racing between Vettel and Ricciardo, provided the RBR doesn't explode.
Heh, I love when all the sure thing predicitons couldn't be more wrong.
Hamilton is such a dick
