JP, what LED lights did you go with. One can never have enough light in the garage.
If one already had a paid for touring!
I know it! I've been wanting to do one of the FFR Cobras since '97.
We're in the process of selling our house and buying another. That's one thing I *really* want to get with it, is a shop, or at least a 3 car garage.
I bought six lights at Costco. Feit brand @ $35.99 each. http://www.costco.com/Feit-Electric-...100155638.html
I bought a couple and really liked them so ended up going back and getting like six more. Put one in our laundy room and another in basement.
I had two 60w bulbs, that was it was horrible. I redid the wiring in garage adding eight outlets six LED lights and a 10 plug outlet strip.
Will have to get a pics up. Throws a ton of light. I live in Michigan so fluorscent was a poor option.
Nice low profile light. A lot of light for these old eyes.
Well I'm not JP , but I did buy one of these from Home Depot recently. Very happy with it, plan to get more. Great thing is I can hang it from the hood of both my E36 and E39. Talk about good light to work under. It did fall down once, didn't hurt it a bit. Would def not do this with florescent tubes.

Details...
NICE! I have twenty (yes 20) fixtures in my big shop. Fluorescent. They suck a lot of power when they are all on and one of them, when cold, kills the circuit in the winter when I flip the switch the first time. Second time is not a big deal. I would love to have LED instead but I don't think that's an option at $35ea. As it was at the time those fixtures and lights weren't cheap and it took me forever to install them. Maybe one day...
This is awesome.

Thanks for the lighting info guys. They are pricey, think I'll wait until we move which may be next year before I buy them.

Took the wife's V70R to dinner last night. Noticed the steering wheel was loose. Popped the airbag cover off and sure enough, the 18mm bolt was super loose. Scary! Guess the alignment guy moved the steering wheel a few months ago and didn't tighten it back up. Glad I drove it and fixed it!
She woulda been pissed! Lucky find.

No clue. It was just an assumption anyway. It was never loose at all before the alignment (which was actually done only a month ago).
Okay, because during an alignment or any steering components R&R you do not try to mess around with the steering wheel being removed unless if it was something to do with the other accessories on the steering column such as the ignition lock (maybe), airbag, or some sort of repair on the steering column. Just giving an example. Depending on the type of vehicle, even for an a/c evaporator repair, usually you just drop down the entire steering column down while the wheel still attached. Not that I'm so interested in it but kind of curious to know why was it removed. Any repair(s) done previously before or not related to alignment?
They might not have. But it's odd that it wasn't loose until after the most recent alignment. Either way, it's fixed now. I had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to release the airbag cover. You rotate the wheel 90 degrees and then put a flat head in this tiny hole in the back, press it outwards to release the one side clip and then rotate 180 and do the same on the other side.
I hope they did not remove the wheel and put it on at another angle to get it to sit straight when the car is going straight. Not supposed to do it that way.
