So how is summer so far? Are you beating the heat like this guy?
I did a little roadtrip down to Hotlanta and Orlando. Mileage was excellent as usual.
Speaking of heat, I love Waffle House hash browns all the way.]
This place got many yelp approval points from me.
They do a mean shrimp and grits.
And they had a great selection of Scotch. This was my favorite. Unfortunately, it was $60 per.
I never knew that the second largest aquarium on Earth is in Atlanta. RVA will like these...
Beluga scratching his back.
I took advantage of the parking deck like the cool kids and got some shots.
Off to Orlando.
Another parking deck shot. Note the edgy angle work. I'm getting pretty good at this.
The best breakfast spot in the entire country.
Served on a prison food tray.
The only thing I did at Disney.
I arrived at Cape Canaveral just in time to see a rocket launch. Check the center of the pic and go down a tiny bit... you'll see the flame.
The largest garage doors in the world.
Saw my first pro soccer match. Orlando City won 3-0.
I also used uber for the first time while carousing in downtown Orlando. Very cool. And then it was time to get back to regular life back at home again.
So how's your summer going?
Great pics. We went to KSC in January just before a last minute cruise deal we got 2 days before it set sail. Wanted to spend a lot more time but it was fun nonetheless. We splurged and had lunch with a real astronaut which I think my daughter thought was cool but likely won't remember.
Summer is good here. Knocking out big things on the project car and things are going well more or less. Staying cool with our backyard pool.

Very cool. We went to that aquarium a few months ago. Loved it just wish there weren't as many people there.
Ted - Looks like you had a nice, fun trip. I know that Marriott and I actually stayed there a couple of nights some time back. My brother used to live in Buckhead - very nice part of Hotlanta. When I lived there, I worked in Sandy Springs which is not far away from the. Great Pics - I envy your gas mileage!
Ooh, would love to go and see the aquarium and visit the rockets.

Also Ted - I hate you.
DemPostCount ......
Tell me about it. I was ready to kill a few kids after about an hour in there. Still glad I went, though.
It was a fun little getaway. I didn't realize until I checked in that the hotel is connected to the Lenox Mall which has some nice watch boutiques. I almost spent waaaaaaaay too much money while I was there. Orlando was a real blast. Last time I went was with family and we ran on a hectic schedule trying to get all the Disney and Universal crap done. This time I stayed away from all of that and focused on downtown. Orlando really has it going on... I can't really think of a city with a cooler downtown area.
The mileage was nice. That car really likes stretching its legs out.

What is the big deal with post counts? Are we running a contest or something?
Keyboard warrior. Trying to hit 10k posts.
auaq, keep trying.
If Roadfly didn't screw up their forum software a few years ago I'd probably be at 25K now.

Nice pics Ted, will have to dig mine up later today.
Thanks for the tip on that breakfast joint in the Orlando Milk District. How'd you find that?

Every time I hit a new city I google "*name of city* food network" to see what has been featured on Food Network. Oddly enough, almost nothing showed up for Orlando. I ended up googling "breakfast orlando" and Se7en Bites kept coming up at the top of nearly every link. The reviews were great so I tried it out. It seriously is the best breakfast spot I've ever found. The baked goods there are incredible, too. The dish in the picture is Three Little Pigs. It's three biscuits, one covered in sausage and gravy, one smothered with cheddar, and the last topped with an Egg Benedict. Throw in two huge and thick slices of pepper bacon and cover that with rosemary jalapeno grits. It was only $9.00 and I couldn't eat all of it. It's definitely a must visit.
Holy crap that sounds delicious!!!
Crap is not delicious where I come from, but who am I to judge???

Did the trek to FL last Jan, good time to blow out of MA. Made extended stops in Savannah, Charleston, Cary on the way down and back.
Just got back from Maine 2 weeks ago. Going to the Colorado Rockies this Sunday for a week.
Maine
300+ miles north, then 1/2 mile down a dirt road and we've arrived.
Time to eat....
This is the Foggy, built here in Brooklin ME Boatyard. Cost $10 Mil to build it. Almost done, then it'll sail to CA.
Needed another fix of lobsters
Ted, can you try this place out and review it for us?
Strong Brewery, local Mom and Pop brewery run out of their house, right down the street from where we were staying.
Brooklin, ME

That place in Maine looks amazing. Chill with the fam and enjoy the finer things in life.

That boat is seriously
Lousy food and warm beer?
Can't imagine why the parking lot was empty.
Might have to take a poll on that disco video, should it stay or should it go, LOL.
Looks like you had a good time on the southern trip, coming up north anytime soon?
You could make the trip in Dec or Jan if you really want to test out that all wheel drive.
Jim - That is a gorgeous and incredibly well crafted boat. Do you per chance know where in California it is headed?
I got to see this drive by today, first time seeing one in person.... gorgeous car to say the least, thought I'd share my pic (Sorry for crappy cell phone pic). Not sure when the electric engine works versus the fuel engine, but it was definitely growling....
