Gaggle of M cars @ T-hill 6/25

According to the driver's list for the 6/25 event, there are about 19 BMWs so far. I think 14 or 15 are M3s. Nice contingent.

I know several are on this forum. We should try to pit together. I usually try to get out there early. So, how about joining me?

I'll be staying at the Golden Pheasant Inn this time.

I've had the most fun on the track when I find a similar E36 with a good driver to play with. The last session at Sebring last weekend I was in a pack of 3 E36s, we turned 10+ sub 2:40 laps. Those 40 minutes alone were worth the 18 hour road trip.

You can always give me some training. I may be doing a lot of suspension tweaking. The better I make it, the harder it is to try to sort it on the street. At the very least, I'll be trying a couple of sway settings. But, I need to check tire temps to see what's what. I've been playing around with shock settings but haven't decided on anything yet.

There may be more openings. You know some of those VW guys will weenie out ;-)

I just looked the other day and it lists you with a 95 M3 LTW. Is that correct?

The Hunster said I was 1st or 2nd on trhe list, there is hope! LOL. He said they he would NOT be adding anybody the day of the event, period. So, if I dont get in, and do decide to come up, it would just be to watch. :-( I will keep my fingers crossed! Tim

I am not an M3 but would like to pit with you. I made my reservation for the Golden Pheasant (Best Western) for Thursday night. It looks like it is only about 2.5 hours from Pleasanton, so I should be there sometime between 8 and 9. Maybe we could get together and "pre-bench drive".

The car is ready. All I need to do is go pick up a helmet, and am trying to borrow some "shade" from one of my old RC racing buddies.

I don't stay up too late, but if you get there by 9 or so, give me a call in my room. Jay Hudson. I'll be flyin' solo. My grandson decided he didn't want to go. He's only 10 and hasn't acquired a taste for cars yet. So, he and grandma will be staying home.

I sent the H-man another email as to my waitlist status. Basically, I am registered for Trackmasters/Ferrari club on 7/2. I am holding off payment until I know if I am in or not for 6/25. The wife simply AINT gonna let me go track two weeks in a row.....even if it is my Bday.

I will be bringing the 10x10 shade too!!!

I talked to Hunpin and he said that it was so full that even IF people dropped out, he aint filling any spots!

I thought that was the purpose of a wait list? :

Oh well. I think I may run next Friday with Trackmasters as they are running with the Ferrari club at T-Hill. That should be fun! LOL.

So, maybe I will come up anyways and watch you guys go round in circles....I dunno yet. I need to figure out if the wife is gonna wig out ( : ) if I take off two Fridays in a row....hehe.

Hey Tim, if you show up I could use a little help. I need to check my tire temps as soon as possible after a hot lap. If you're there and you're willing, you could take temps for me in the hot pits. That way I don't have to try to do it after a cool down lap. I could just pop in and get right out again.

I'll be at GC tomorrow afternoon getting it corner weighted.
