I feel this was one of my best chases ever, in comp against Jeepster @ 1:50. My lead is at 0:43

waiting on some edge trim to show up, then I'll bolt the window down and cut it to match. I know I should box in the underside as well, but I am lazy these days

I don't think you'll get much airflow if you don't box in the bottom. As I understand it, that area is low pressure, you need the fan to pull the air in, and to get enough "pull" you need a pretty good seal. Also it separates the hole from the area's in the trunk where tire smoke (should) be.

Although I think I remember you have your fan reversed? as in it pulls from the bottom of the car, so this hole would be for heat escape?

Yeah, right now it is wired as a pusher. I am going to reverse it though so it's a puller. I also made a little fin for the rear of the box to try and catch some air that way. I know I need to do the bottom, just not sure if i'll have time before the clinic with prepping the RX7 and all that. I am basically copying Kristaps 46 FD car with the design.

The 6-8" tall piece of lexan? man, I just used a 2" strip of aluminium.

the output pressure is crap, might as well have no power steering. From the nuumbers I was told the MR2 puts out 90bar max and the bmw pumps are 140bar

well, after my teammate getting a 350z and a few other people I know getting Zs and other stock+ capable cars the want for something simple, streetable, but still fun has kicked in. I love my E46 and RX7, but they're finicky and having to take the truck across town to get the trailer, then to the shop to load, then to the track, then back to the shop, then back to storage any time I want to drive is getting a little tiresome. A few months back I went to LA and ended up in a 2017 Camaro RS (v6) and fell in love with it. After watching the auctions for a while we stumbled on to a wrecked 2014 SS that looked fixable, and we ended up winning it for a good price. After a few days shipping (and almost 6 hours of cleaning) here's how it looks.

The plan is a basic repair job on the front with Certifit parts, driver's bucket seat, ASD hydro, and in the future a tandem legal cage but retaining as much interior as possible. I'm talking with Sean at SLR about an angle kit, and need to get some different wheels. Thinking about some coilovers as well.

Nice pickup. I've been thinking about doing the same, I'd probably go for a mustang but I've held off just cause I've never bought from auction before.

Camaro looks pretty cool. I'm w/ Andy tho. I think EB s550 Mustang is the way to go for a simple, reliable drift car. Crashed ones are pretty cheap, and fairly plentiful

The mustangs seem nice, I just have a very deep rooted hatred for all things ford, and wanted to stick with the LS platform. Vettes and Camaros were my first choices, and the Vette is probably the better option due to parts availability, but they still pull so much at auction

It isn't. One bent suspension arm, radiator support, and the front cosmetics.

I just want to say that I finally got frustrated of this car feeling so loose compared to my FC, and maxed out my rear toe in settings. Toe plated it at 3/4" before the last event, and HOLY HELL this car has never felt so good!

    Do you have RTAB limiters?

no. I have Garagastic (IIRC) Delrin offset RTABs installed to give me more toe in. I bought limiters from them as well, but couldn't figure out any way to install them. Denofa or Nerp offset RTAB bearings are on the upgrade list

I mean if you have delrin, it's probably not as necessary. I want to do spherical just to get rid of slop all together.

The limiters are pretty easy to install, drop TA, pull pin, hammer in limiters (lol), rebolt everything. It's not a solution, but it's a stupid cheap way to keep stock bushings from feeling like shirt. My car def has stock rubber but man it feels good with no fuss. Altho, I literally lift to half throttle maybe once a run. 200chp ftw?
