I have a VEMS ECU that I picked up from Austin here on the forums to turbocharge my s50 e30. I ended up selling my e30 before getting a chance to put this on it. I have a harness from another forum member made for the VEMS running the M5X/S5X into the e30 chassis that I will include, along with extra econo seal connectors, a wideband O2 sensor, and whatever other supplies I have around.
The setup is VR crank and Hall cam sensors, 1 egt, and 1 knock sensor. I'll get some photos of the actual unit tonight along with some of the build sheet. Need to get rid of this quick so I'll start at $700 shipped.

Sorry about the poor quality. I'll get some better detail pictures as soon as possible. If anyone is interested in seeing the paperwork that came alongside it shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send it over.

Bump. Need some school $$$ so I'll drop the package down to $600 if it sells before 7/20.
curious about this as I just started a m50/e30 turbo car. so if i understand this correctly, you have a full m50 harness, already pinned out for the e30 chassis ( is it the early square connector or the c101?), then the vems plugs into where the stock ecu would go, run the wideband wires in place of the stock o2 sensor, then vacuum and it runs?
when you purchased the harness, was it from a running "swapped" e30?
thank you for any answers in advance. I have purchased everything for the build/swap except tuning and clutch...this seems to be a decent viable option... reading up on the vems now
I'm not sure he is on this forum, but I purchased the harness from Vegas Vince on R3vlimited. The harness was from a running turbo M50 e30, but might not neccesarily be plug and play for every swap since there can be variances in the way people wire up the C101 ect. This harness could be perfect in your application out of the box or it could just be a good place to start, I can't give you a guarantee either way. As far as the ECU is concerned you would need to configure it through your choice of tuning software (The free VEMStune was looking really good when I was doing research) and set up a base tune before you can expect the engine to run.
As the name suggests, this is a very versatile engine management system that will require some research to get it setup for your specific application. Notorious VR and The Juggernaut both had threads on this forum showing some great cars running VEMS. I haven't been lurking as much since I sold the car but I'm sure there are a few more out there now.

and does the vems need any special harness to directly plug into the m50 harness or is it PnP?
This is the main "adapter" section but there have been some small changes to the rest of the harness as well. I never ran it so I can't tell you exactly what you'll need to do since with VEMS there isn't one way to set it up correctly. This isn't a bolt on/plug in solution.
There is a pigtail for the O2 sensor and tuning cable ect.
