    2011 535ix (still) shifting issues

    Hi!

I am looking for some help with my 2011 BMW 535ix (F10). I got the car this
February and I am the second owner. The current milage is about 52000km.
The car is almost perfect except some transmission/shifting issues that
    really bother me.

As I got the car, I reallized that if I stop at stop signs or traffic
lights, driving off is very jerky. Therefore, I was trying to find a
solution to this problem via google. I figured out that jerky shifting
is a well-known problem with a 2011 BMW 535i and that the solution is
    a software update.

Therefore, I brought the car to the dealer to get it checked and to get
the aforementioned update. After picking up the car, they told me that
they have replaced the battery. They did this for free because at this
time there was still warranty on the car. However, the shifting issue
was not resolved (I was not surprized by that because the battery
has usually nothing to do with the shifting). After having a little fight
with the service manager, I brought the car back to the dealer and they
    finally made the software update.

I can definitely say that the car drives much better now. The strange
(and annoying and maybe even dangerous) hesitations disappeared. However,
there are still issues. The shifting is still a bit jerky sometimes.
It is not very smooth if the car is cold (maybe this is just how it
is) and then the problem usually completely disappears if the car warms up.
The car then drives perfectly fine ... almost perfect. I cannot feel when
the transmission is shifting regardless whether the car is in D or manual mode.
However, if the car/transmission further warms up the problem is coming back.
If I drive in manual, for instance, and shift by myself I can clearly feel
the shifting. It feels a bit like a guy is driving a standard and is
removing his foot from the clutch pedal too fast. I also figured out that
if I just put the car in the 1st gear and drive slowy (without shifting)
it is also not very smooth (sometimes the car is almost jumping) when I
accelerate. After having another fight with the dealer, they agreed that I can
come back a 3rd time and they want me to drive the car and show them the
problem. The issue here is, that the problem is not always there. Now I am
trying to figure out what the problem could be. I thought about things like
the "rag joint" (hardy disc), but with that low milage? Could it be the MAF
sensor? I also asked the dealer about the software version they put on the
car the last time, but they don't know it (I find this strange). Can they
    read out the software version?

I would appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

Do you still have this problem? I have a 2012 535xd where I experience something similar which I can't figure out.
