Bought a mic to show off my glorious exhaust. Made a quick video while still staying within legal speeds.

Nothing done to the car still. I've done a lot more autocrosses and just had my first HPDE weekend.

Well, it's in. The Planted seat brackets need a 1/4" metal spacer between it and the carpet to fit the best. I also spaced it up 8mm with some sleeve bearings because I'm short. With my bracket spacing and a NRG slider, I sit around the same height as stock seats at their lowest setting. I'm now looking at making custom center inserts for myself. I want a unique fabric to set my car apart from others, and it would be nice to give myself extra height and more lumbar with a custom cushion.

And a parting shot of how it sits in its "winter" mode. It's still on summer tires, but it will be pulled off the road and undergo a full bushing overhaul this winter.

They're Invictus A8 seats you can find in eBay. So far so good, but they don't feel as nice as the Corbeaus my friend has. The price definitely makes up for it.

I'm currently learning how to make seat cushions. I want to make something less bland with some 90s fabric.

Good looking out, what size is your waist and how tall are you? Buying seats without siting in them first worries me lol Curious as to how those hold up over time, I had corbeaus years ago the the drivers seat developed a fat hole on the bolster within a year, that car had a full cage with door bars so I definitely wasnt sliding my ass on that spot when i got in and out. I will never buy their seats again. But it seems most of the ones i want are 800+ each lol

These fit up to a 34 waist. I'm 5'7" and have plenty of room. They don't flex at all, just the fabric and foam quality feels cheaper than Corbeaus.

A little project I've been working on. I hope to have the rest of the cushions made up. Definitely not everybody's cup of tea, but it sets my car apart while giving me the extra cushion height I need.

Here's the subframe coming out. It will be a few weeks until I get a change to work on it again, but I hope to get it done before February

Torched out the subframe bushings. Now I have to decide if I want to torch out the front differential bushing or drill/saw it out. Any tips?

I used one of those ball joint press kits that autostores rent to push out the front diff bushing.

Do the universal ones work from your experience?

Yes i got mine from autozone about 2 years ago. I recall putting the bushing back in was a bit of a pain. The shape of the frame made it a bit awkward so i had to swap parts of the press around.

Perfect! I'm not worried about reinstallation as I have a poly bushing. Should slide in way easier than in coming out.

In that case, a BFH will motivate your poly for install lol

Yep, a dead blow and a few good hits is all I'll need. But that will be in a while, I need to get the subframe painted since I burned off all the paint getting the bushings out.

Got all the bushings out, but the subframe still isn't done. I did work on the front end so I wouldn't get burned out working on one part of the car.

Nice video. I have some left over chassis black which I'm hoping will cover mine well once it's out. Finishing the front now and kind of dreading the rear. I need to wrap both up soon as I need the car streetable again.
