It looks like the kit is only for the 4, 6, and 12 cylinder cars' steering pumps. Do you do the V8s too?

I need one. But this will not address a pressure issue related to vane wear. This would only deal with leaks not a deficiency in pressure.

How many miles on your e31?
I wonder it the vane ware is truly the case, as the vanes are not fixed, they float and the centrifugal force extends (forces) them to contact the cylinder wall.

But if you open up the inside, you may find a broken seal is the problem. See photo (this one is before they added the backup nylon ring to the rubber)

I am not sure if the LF-68 kit will fit the tandem e38. Still investigating.
