Given the problems our car gets might as well start this up/
today my car developed a worse clunking noise once i press and release my clutch pedal...diff is as tight as a virgin...time for a new drive shaft
what went wrong with your guys e34 today?
Check engine light came on. Looked down and saw that the mixture gauge wasn't dithering. Time for a new O2 sensor.
demet
Blew the head gasket sometime recently but just started missing like a beezy today. Time for the swap
I put a note on an M Sport in my office complex to email me if he wanted to sell it and he didn't email me.
rear tires showing chords. gonna throw in my drift spares on until i get the 18s mounted
My DME cooling fan came on for a minute when I started up this morning. It takes an increasingly magical touch to activate the hatch release switch (after having fixed all the wiring back there three times). And my odometer flickers and displays gibberish unless I smack it. Ahhh.. 22 year old German electronics!
The gas gauge keeps showing empty, a few days after I fill up. I think it has something to do with my right foot and the fact that now that I've sorted out the valves, ignition and intake issues the car is a blast to drive.
drivers headlight went out, no warning, so figured it was LKM, so changed it, everything worked...
then the Check control said all my lights had failed....none have, so zero care was given to latest issue...
Plugged the connector into the clutch switch in hopes of restoring cruise control, no luck.
Replaced brake light switch in hopes of clearing error, no luck.
my version of a midlife crisis: 20 year old spray painted, lowered BMW station wagon.
Scanned my car I now need two knock sensors....
Car didn't start with first turn of the key, just cranked. I have a shitty negative cable that I've been too lazy to change lately, have the part just don't feel like doing it since it doesn't happen every time.
It didn't happen today, but I haven't driven my E34 since the middle of March when the radiator fan thermostat decided to melt while driving. This will be the 4th in 3 years or about 1500 miles of fair weather driving. I've got a replacement, but Redfive just keeps sitting there.

I've let it leak PS fluid for a while so I need to just fix the stupid leak. I hate PS lines in the M60.
Well I also have a 3.5 year old and a 6 week old.

Low oil light came on. Gotta fix my leaking VC gasket.
Thanks! It can be exhausting.
I'm not sure how I will get anything done on my car this year. I get about 2 hours a month to play with it. Seriously right now I'm having a hard time justify holding on to it. And when it sits, more things go bad. Even the new stuff goes bad. Started the car up this year and found that my 3 year old, barely used 5 channel amp had become a 1 channel amp.

Nothing went wrong with my E34 today. Thats only because its in the garage with no drive train in it.
"**if you suck at driving, it certainly could put you into a curb. Don't suck."
Nothing went wrong with my E34 today. As usual it works great
The windows don't work, the alarm/central locking doesn't work, and the M60 eats serpentine belts.
Lock actuators got angry at me, and quit, window's off track with the clips coming in the mail for all four, currently off of my M par's thanks too a pin hole the size of a thread needle in the left rear tire (brand new 245/40 cooper zeons), so running it on bbs rc 300's for the time being. o2 sensor's giving me hell, and about too break into the lower control arm job for the notorious 55 mph shimmy
