Chain rattle or bearing noise

This morning i start my car and heard a bearing or rattle loud noise after the car starts its gone
Anyone here have that problem

VANOS or DISA valve?

My engine is 1.9 petrol n42b20 i dont think there is a disa valve on it

When the noise is occurring, is the engine running smooth, or kind of choppy?

I can only hear when i start the engine then it goes away it doesnt affect driving or engine performance it sounds like bag of nails im using 5w30 for n42 engine

Jus an update on this thread after i change the following

Timing chain (complete kit)
Idler pulley
Tensioner pulley
Water pump pulley

It cost money but i think if u plan to keep the car for few more years its worth it

Now its fix no more noise or rattle

check your chain guides,
open oil cap and pull out the vanos solenoids:
bear in mind you might be unlucky and your guides are broken; you will see orange/brown pieces of plastic, gently and carefully take them out.
*not recommended but if your guides are broken it is fine to drive without them, just don't thrash your car. best to replace when possible.

another reason could be the chain tensioner [bolt] needs replacing to an updated one.
