How do I use either INPA or ISTA+ to diagnose DSC error

I have both programs and DKAN cable.

2009 E92

I have brake and DSC malfunction indicators. Visually everything looks good - no apparent leaks, wheel speed sensors look good, master cylinder is full.

Regular code scanner shows nothing.

I’ve been banging my head trying to get into that particular module with both INPA and ISTA.

Can one of you amazing people provide me with a step by step? I would be eternally grateful!

I'm guessing you haven't gotten a full read from ISTA, otherwise it would tell you all the errors present in the car.
Are you having issues with the connection, or what?

Computer tells me it can’t find cable in INPA, ISTA never reads. I know it’s a connection issue and I’ve confirmed all port settings. I’m using OBD EX cable.
