A few updates, but I've come to a crawl - it's cold and I'm being slightly lazy. Anyway, here's where she sits right now:
CURRENT:
Racecar: '81 e21 320i Group2. GT28 @ 25psi, MS2, e28 M5 suspension/brakes underneath, forged, cammed, 400bhp, 2190lbs, etc, etc...
Daily: '95 e34 540/6. DUDMD tuned, vogtland/koni, Schnitzers, other minor touches.
Project: '94 525iT. S50 swapped, supercharger in the works, manual swapped, Airlift supsension, Mpars, Brembo's, clean machine.
New daily: e60 530i sport package. Stock.

Hey yeah I was seeing the 540 on fb. I actually might be trading my 750 for a 540 wagon w/ 6speed. It started life as a 530i but the 3l had a dead cylinder so he swapped it.
Dang I didn't realize that it was that cold there last week. I looked and saw 66 today before I posted. Lol. Although 34 is better than the 6 we had one day last week. Be careful man, back injuries are no fun.

you guys live in t-shirt weather ! lol ... it was -35°C yesterday (-31°F) felt like -45°C with windchill (-49°F) and that was not even the worst this year .... we had -45°C before wind chill ... that makes you not wanna leave your bed lol...
car is coming along great, are you gonna be running those 18" or they are just temporary ?
Front brakes are e28 M5. I had a set laying around, thought it might balance out the go-fast stuff a little.
-35* is stupefying. I would be hibernating for sure at those kinds of temps.
I was just playing with offsets and ideas. I'll be running a set of 16" BBS Mahles from a Porsche 911 by the time the car is running.

Awesome build ! I would beef up that rear diff mount. Garagistic sells a added diff mount, bolts on the other side. I am finalizing my e30 rear sub frame swap. Will put up a thread when I am done

I read this entire thread yesterday..no regrets. I can't wait to see photos if you are able to fix the issue. My wife wants one of these cars thanks to the Halloween (original) movie, so if we do get one I'll be referencing this thread quite a bit. Thank you for documenting all your hard work on this.
Hey that's cool man! I've been slacking a LOT on the car. Poor baby is sitting outside waiting for time to come back in the shop. I've decided to use an Autronic SM4 race ECU this time, rather than Megasquirt or VEMS. I'll also be building a full MIL-SPEC harness.
Autronic SM4 should have much more control over the engine, which will hopefully let me hit that 400hp target. MS2 was simply not able to control the injector pulse width of an 80lb injector low enough to keep me from fouling spark plugs. Worked great on the 42lb setup, but when I went to 80lbs (for big power), I would foul plugs after 10 minutes of idle time.
That said, I'm hoping to get back to work on her soon. I've been dicking off far too long now. Maybe I'll upload some more progress in the next few months.

Here's a pic of my 540/6 to hold you over. I did the suspension in Koni/Vogtland, brakes from an 850, AC Schnitzer wheels, and some other fun things - like detailing the ever-living hell out of it.
