I agree that the BBS offers a cleaner, more OEM look....
I liked them too, but it always bothered me that they didn't offer much concavity. If they had been more concave, I probably would have never changed them.
The ADVs were attractive to me because of the wheel design itself. I also wanted to do something a little different color-wise so they would not mimic the BBS.
Matte Bronze is certainly a color combination that steps outside of the traditional mainstream, but I knew that I wanted something darker.
Some people may not get the color combination, but I like it.

Your current situation is not your final destination
I didn't like your choice of mags at all.......'till now. That colour really changed the look, they are gorgeous. Congrats on a job well done!
A little update here...
Since I last checked in, I've added Pure Stage 2 turbos, RK Carbon fiber intakes, Akrapovic full titanium exhaust, Active Autowerkes stage 2+ tune, ADV1 wheels refinished in Brushed Gunmetal, Carbon interior trim, flat bottomed steering wheel and AVIN system! Last dyno run produced 596hp/614tq at the wheels! Its a Monster, yet civilized enough that my wife can drive it!
X5M also has a new garage mate...
The Mercedes SL500 has been replaced with a brand new 2017 M4 F83 Competition Package Convertible early last spring.
It has carbon front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler, H&R Springs, Meistershaft GTC exhaust and Signature SV302S wheels.
