    M70 EML DK motor + MAF plug part numbers

    I was told this plug does not exist as single item but is part of the engine wire loom complete. Investigated and found them. Special thanks to the parts specialist of my dealer in Germany, he checked with BMW Munich and extra ordered 1 plug for me and sent me the pics. Part number of the plug which goes onto the EML throttling valve is position 21 8 POL. 12521714053.
    A bit confusing as there are engines mentioned which do not have a EML DK like the E32 740 with the M60 engine, E31 850 and E34 535 with EML are not mentioned at all, but look at the drawings.

    And they go here

    I have ordered some for stock now.

    I also have the plugs on stock for the MAF connector, that is a similar problem to find them in the ETK.
    Listed NOT under E32 and E31! But the M70 engine needs it.
    2 x 12521737668 MAF connector old number was 1718126 PLUG HOUSING 7-POL
    usually the inner ring breaks, pic from my defective plug http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/mino/RIMG0128.JPG

    Additional info, in case you are confused which pin goes where for the DK (throttle valve EML) motor: X1618 and X1619
    x1618 --> 1619:
    1 - rt - ws - ge --> rt
    2 - sw - ws - ge --> sw
    3 - gn - ws - ge --> gn
    4 - nc --> nc
    5 - ws - ge --> ws
    6 - ge --> ge
    7 - sw --> sw
    8 - nc -> nc

    thanks so much for the info. Part numbers are great as I need to fix my broken plastic connectors.
    I swear, my cars are like a girlfriend.
    Sometimes its a rough ride, sometimes its smooth motorin'.
    Sometimes she doesnt like how i treat her and sometimes i dont like how she behaves.
    BUT at the end of the day, she loves it when I am inside her.

    up with this for SergeBMW for wire info, as he just told me that he has on his 1989 E32 750iL the problem: He's had some issues with the car dropping the left bank, now it is permanently off. He checked for fuel, spark, EML function etc., then he swapped the MAF and the issue followed.
    Also check the wire loom to the MAF, the outer sheath of the wire loom is now hard like stone, when it breaks it cuts into the single wires inside the wire loom, had several M70 where we found that problem.
    I removed on my M70 all of this outer plastic sheath and made a new one, there is plenty material available such as braided cable sleeves, for extreme abrasion and temperature resistance necessary for resilience in high-performance automotive conditions. These sleeving options will accommodate any quality you may need, whether that be extreme temperature or abrasion resistance, non-conductivity, penetration protection, or noise reduction.
