Best tool to flash FRM3 Software

    Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could tell me the best tool to update the software in my FRM3 module (E82 135i 2010). Its the actual firmware I need to update as I have an error code 9CC7 (read via snap on tool) which is causing the anti trap message to appear on the drivers door window, this causes the windows go go down a inch each time in small increments. I have read in a mini service bulletin
that the FRM unit doesn't need replacing as a local garage informed me and can be fixed with a software update.

    http://workshop-manuals.com/mini/coo...y/dtcs_stored/

The unit is most likely going in the bin anyway so I will risk a reprogram myself. I have Progman, INPA, Tool32, WINKFP and Rheingold installed and ready to run. I have successfully coded my car for folding mirrors so have limited experience of coding BMW but am not afraid to learn. I understand that Rheingold offers a service plan which might fix this automatically however even though the fault shows on my iDrive the code doesn't show up (same with INPA) so I can't make a service plan for this error.

    Thanks

    That's a winKFP job.
You'll want to get the latest SP daten files (or at least the newest you can find) and I'd recommend BMW Coding tool 2.52 which should turn up in google to handle the updating.

It would be programming rather than coding, but something like 10-15mins would be the sort of times to expect.

I'm trying to get an old module flashed for simple resale 540i help out anyone in need, I was just curious since the person offering to help is asking $100 to reprogram it. Thanks for your reply.
