A few years ago, my narrow band O2 sensor went south, so I installed an Innovate wide band. Worked great.... for a while.
Now, half (or more) of the time, it goes to an error code and just quits.
Of course, since mine started acting up, I have seen a few posts of others complaining.
Anyone know, is it the unit itself that craps out, or the sensor. Don't mind replacing the sensor.
If I need to ditch the whole thing, I will. What brands are you guys running successfully?
Have you seen this Lynn? others have had issue as well.

Its usually the O2 that goes bad, I'm running a LC-1 with no issues. I doubt you need to ditch the whole thing, but in case you do, look into the AEM wideband.

The Innovate, for whatever reason, is just not that good of a kit as the WBO2 like to die...this is on top of the silly calibration methods needing to be done. Seen it time and time again.
Been using the same sensor with my AEM kit for years without a hiccup, used it to tune three 745i and one 735i.

I will never buy another innovate WB. I had the LC-1 installed on my 03 Cobra and it pooped out after 1 year. I tried installing a heat sync and new sensors and recalibrating... after dumping a couple hundred into it, I replaced it.
I went with a AEM 6in1 AUGO in the 745i by others reviews. It's been there for a couple of years with no issues. Good buy for the money.
I may try calibration and see if that helps. I agree with Eric, it seems silly that I have to pull the sensor out to calibrate. Not a big deal, but I need to shuffle some cars around to get it on a lift. Was planning to get cars out today anyway, weather permitting. Local NAPA store has sensor in stock, and is within walking distance of our home.

Installed a new Bosch O2 sensor, calibrated, and it is working fine... for now.

It is always powered on with the ignition switch.
How's it holding up? Been meaning to take mine out for target practice. Had mine 10yrs now & lost track of how many times o2 has needed to be replaced. 1-2x per year. I meant to write letter to the company complaining about the crappy design. Doubt they'd do anything since its long out of warranty.
Yes the innovative are no good. Even with the heat extender thing.
Aem all the way.

Didn't see this until just now LJ.
Other than one o2 sensor that lasted 3 days, they have been going about 2 years between replacements.
Got on here to see what was being recommended. I see a few posts up that recommended an "AEM 6in1 AUGO", but did a search on ebay and that description didn't show up.
I found this on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/AEM-30-4110...53.m1438.l2649
Are there different models of AEM? I am thinking of getting one for my 1.1 Opel GT.
That $162 kit is the one I love! Two here, one still installed in the 10/84 and other in case I need to tune something else.

I'm so done with that Innovative garbage. I've been thru no less than 5 o2 sensors in a year span. And I'm not making 1/2 the hp as others with a good solid tune. I switched to this. Rock solid for about a year now. Too bad because I liked the Innovative color.
