They seem to alternate. E46 non-M for example has two mounts in the front and 1 in the rear; E46 M3 has 2 in the rear and 1 in the front. I've never actually seen them do 4 mounts for some reason.

Considering e34 540i stock headers are very similar to e39 540/m5 headers, would you say these might fit a e34s tunnels.. i could cut out space if needed. I would figure they might work. Also, good work. Pretty nice setup i would love to run these on my build..

Unicorn Headers for the S62/M62/M60 powered E39s

Looks like nice work. The gains seem to come on strong at 5k and up, I'm guessing the ROI on a M62 not that great given redline at 6k. Looks like a win for the S62 though.

Edit to add the charts look good in that little or no low end lost.

Unicorn Headers for the S62/M62/M60 powered E39s

    Happy New Year everyone!

Due to the numerous inquires and interest in the headers, I've decided to make an introductory pricing offer to the members of Bimmerforums. This is the same offer I made to the members of the M5board.com, so it's only fair that I give the same deal to you all.

I will offer the first 10 sets sold here on BFC for $4,900 plus shipping, instead of the normal price of $5,500. This offer is good until the 10 sets are sold. I have begun production on the first batch of 5 sets and will be able to ship out this month (January) to reduce the long lead time.

To insure your spot in this group buy, and to weed out the looky-loos, full payment of the set is required. Payment methods accepted is through PayPal and/or direct bank transfer. If you are is SoCal, payment in person is welcome too.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to post them here or send me a PM.

If I hadn't just commissioned a custom bike for about the same price tag... this would be tempting! Luckily I'm flushed out of cash so i can't really make up excuses for why it's a good idea!

Custom steel hard-tail mountain bike, going w a 27.5 Plus setup too, should be interesting...

I bang into a lot of rock formations out here so steel is a good material for me (as my poor ancient existing bike shows the scars of) - none of these modern loamy 'flow' high speed wide open trails for me really. A carbon bike would be begging for expensive damage here the way I ride (crashing regularly and smashing both rider and bike into large pieces of granite due to old man feeble skillz)

Nice, I used to ride a lot before. A nice hardtail with a massive front fork is a lot of fun. Good luck with the build.

    Damn those look so good.

Im riding a titanium 29er with big Schwalbe tires and good fox fork. Absorbs bumps good and very nimble. Those fatty plus tires look cool.

those are hand made by an artisan......

how many hours are involved in fit up and whatnot before he begins to burn them in?
on top of the at least 15 hours of finish welding... plus the grinding and finishing.

those pipes are works of art!

unfortunately for me those headers cost more than my car is worth.....

Regarding to it cost more than it is priced I agree, but, who will buy it if there are many manufactures which already did this and construct wonderful headers which are less cost.

Its pretty easy, if they don't suit you don't buy them.
    Why clutter the OP thread?
You will not find anything like these headers elsewhere, at any price.

Hello M5 Jed, I'm new at this forum. Idk how to send a PM so i just post here.

I was looking for a custom exhaust manifold for my m60b40, I'm currently working on a engine swap.
I've googled around and found your beautiful build.

I was wondering if you'd like to share the sizes of pipes, what angels and how many there are of them.

As much as I'd like to buy a pair I can't afford it, but since I have some knowledge of Tig-welding i might as well try to build it myself. For my own personal use of course.

    Thank you in advance
    Kind regards
    Jonathan
