Maybe I got lucky, maybe not. Using this image I was able to diagnose that my i-bus pin had corroded.

I had no audio at all any time, no matter the function.
I pulled the amplifier out of the car. In doing so I found traces of water inside the connector. Making matters worse, one pin had rusted so bad it was stuck in the connector on the car-side. To verify no other pins had failed I took a volt meter and toned out each pin to make sure they still had good connection and then simply soldered a new wire from the terminal on the board outside of the amp and shoved it in the backside of the car-side connector. simple as that, working audio.

That is good stuff. Basic solution made complex by numbers. But simple and you figured it out.
