    Single or double Vanos?

Heya I know this question may have been asked, like, a gajillion times here.. but I just want confirmation... is my Z3 a single or double Vanos?
    It's a 2000 2.8. A bit confusing.

1999 and later non-M Z3s with 6-cylinder engines were the M52TU with dual VANOS.

I have a z3 2.8l with the double vanos and broke my valve cover, will any m52 valve cover fit on it or is it only a m52tub28 valve cover that will fit?

Any M52tu or M54 valve cover will fit.

M52TU or early M54. Later M54 have different coils that mount with a single bolt.

Ah. True. Another PBC (Posting before coffee). The Z3 didn't get that variant, so I don't see them often

Hah. I didn't think about that... I guess they phased that in around ~2004 or so.

If any of you have a valve cover, double vanos, m52tu or m54 you're willing to part with id be willing to purchase it.

Used ones on eBay are pretty common and cheap... might take a look - might be pleased. :-)

If you were deranged, could you swap in the M54 cover and coils onto an M52tu without swapping additional parts beyond the connectors and your sanity, or do the M54 coils have a different power output?

I don't even know how many bolts hold them in.
