Help me find my E36 M3 Sedan and get paid!

I have been looking for a couple of months for the right car, but haven't found it, so I thought I would post this in case such a car exists.

    MUST BE:

    97 or 98 M3 Sedan
    5 Speed
In very good condition with no accidents
    Under 80k miles
    No Spoiler
    No Luxury package
Blue, Silver, White or Green Exterior
    No White or Magma interior
No major mechanical modifications (stock is better)

I am located in Los Angeles, California

If you know of a car that meets the above description, please reply. If you set me up with the right car, I will give you a $100 "finder's fee".

    One thing I forgot

The car must have rear fold-down seats.

As for price, that depends on the condition and mileage of the car. Of course, I am looking for a good deal but am willing to pay a fair price for the right car.

    True

The first one is the car I want, but I think everyone on this board agrees that $26k is not a reasonable price for a 98 M3 with 50k.

That said, I should have clarified that I am monitoring autotrader, cars.com, roadfly, dtm-power, craigslist and here, so I don't just want ads pasted from those sources.....

you should definitely look into that silver one on auto trader. It's got low miles, and it's a cpo. you get what you pay for. I recently sold a 98 M3/4, in pretty much immaculate condition to someone on here, for almost 22k, and it had 74k miles on it. Look into that silver one, I'm sure the dealer's willing to work on the price too.

I bought a perfect Techno Violet M3/4 with 48,xxx miles, 5 speed for $18,500 from bf.com member Justin(OKC) in October of last year. More than $22K is too much for a 97/98 M3.

That wasn't a bad price, but that was a purple car, and he was in the Mid-west, a California car pulls all the money, especially in Southern California with a nice color combo like silver/gray.

$26k for an E36 M3 sold at auction......

Ed ran a carfax on the "1 owner" car for $25,900 at PK Bimmerz that Mister X links to above. Carfax shows it as a three owner car sold at a dealer auction. Moral of the story: dealers lie.

The search goes on for the M3/4. I am willing to pay up to $22k for the right vehicle.......it shouldn't be this hard.

    98 M3/4
    Artic Silver/Dove
85k (100 mile daily commute + two trips cross country account for the majority of the miles....in other words; it wasnt flogged as a stoplight racer in town)
Dinan S3 (25pts worth of Dinan stuff, to include but not limited to;Supercharger, Stg III suspension, etc)
All the cool mods; ZKW w/ DDE Plus, UCC carbon fiber shifter/e handle, smoked clears....etc

PM if you want to see pics (or you can search my threads here)

An offer in the 26k range would make me start looking for my NSX

Sounds like a quick car, but I am not into the Dove leather and not looking for a SC'ed car......

    The search goes on......

Oh yeah, filodng rear seats in a sedan is not unusual.

When looking for mine in November very few of the ones I found had folding rears, I looked, and when I had a short list of 5 cars I was checking into none of the 5 had fold down rears. I like the armrest I have instead though and I honestly don't think I'd use the car for trips to Home Depot anyway.

Boston Green with Modena (ferrari) int., contacting you because of confidence in car condition mechanically and cosmetically with realistic price of $16,400. Car has 84,000 miles with records. Cosmetic upgrades only. Car has been wrecked will probably not show up on carfax, but after three years of ownership after the accident the car still looks i.e. paint and drives as though it was never wrecked. I personally would have sold the car earlier had the problem of having a wrecked car had nagged/annoyed me enough. Best body shop in Colorado LITERALLY, did the work I researched among other shops and rejected who the BMW CCA recommended. Secondly car has rear wing. I am a long standing member of BMW CCA with this being the fifth bmw I have owned. Car lacks the one requirement of fold down rear seats, but you probably know by now all of them have the ski pass through, but most will not have fold down rear seats. No other stories or disappointments.

    Aargh....

Did a prepurchase inspection on a nice-looking M3/4 at La Jolla Independent that that turned up: an undisclosed accident; leaking steering box; two bent wheels and NO OIL INDICATED ON THE DIPSTICK. Yikes.

If you know of a nice sedan, help a brutha out.......

Just bought a '98 M3/4 5-spd, Alpine White/Magma. However, I think I'm going to keep it as my daily driver.
