    28" tires E36

Has anybody tried running 28" tall tires in the back of an e36 yet? Ive read people saying it wont fit, but measuring clearance i have now it looks like it would, also RBWBMW ran them in his e30.

I wish lol, I ran a 27x10.5 hoosier alot or cutting and hacking body work will be needed for the 28" but would be worth it. I Now Run A 275 50 15 ET Street And I'm IN Love ....Handles Great And Hooks ...

Yeah i was hoping to do it without major bodywork, otherwise id get fender flares and run wider. I was looking at the 275/55r16 m&h drag radials as they seem to run narrower, but i guess thats out of the question now.

Do you run full slicks with regular tyres up front or was that just for the pic ?

You're not going to fit 28" without modifications ... unless you've got a 335 .. those lucky buggers can fit 28".

thats a good amount of rubber lol. I was looking into these flares http://jdmflares.com/WIDE_ZG_FLARES.html , one of the drifters on this site is running them. If my estimates are correct 315 width should be able to fit in the back with those flares

The width for me wasn't the problem , it's was the height.
I just used e46 330i sedan front fenders

Gonna try and revive this thread. Is anybody succesfully running 28" tires (with fender flares)?
