To install the lip you will have to remove the under belly tray and the bumper extensions (pork chops) just you you can see what you are doing when you test fit and drill the holes for the inserts (push pins that are supplied). I purchased the ABS version and it was a simple install. The hardest part was drilling into my unmarred bumper......

Love the lip. Does Slimmbones make 2 different ones? Based on his FB page, it looks like they make a CF one similar to the Hamann lip as well? The problem with that one is that it's a bit "too much" where this one is more understated...

Very nice. Gives it a bit more aggressive look, but not an exaggerated one 👍

I also think my Fortune Auto coil overs need rebuilding, had them since 2013.
On a good note I have all the little bits in black for my interior swap thanks to Clemster on the M5 board.

So I picked up my new rear MTech bumper last week. Had them repaint small piece of trim also.

Bumper installed, could use just a little adjustment to be perfect. Also bought a laptop to code the Euro tail lights that I have.
With the weather finally getting nice I can start my Extended Black Leather interior swap. Getting the rear bench seat redyed next week.

Maybe, will have to see whats out there. I'm not a fan of loud exhaust with a auto trans and I'm still planing on doing a S62 M5 swap.
Just wanting to find a donor car that isn't 1800 miles away. I plan on selling my alpine white winter beater touring in a month to make some room.

Please tell me how you coded the euro tails! Did you code the turn signal behavior?

I haven't coded them yet, but yes you can code the turn signals to work separate from the brake lights.
I have the thread printed,Blacknight530 knows how to do it. He states its very simple. I will dig the instructions out tomorrow.

Chrome won't let me post the link for some reason.
Google "coding bmw e39 touring euro tail lights"

Your car is really looking nice, all the upgrades worth every cent you`ve spent & that color is fantastic...yours and Danny's only two ive seen in pictures, have seen on many other BMWs but never seen in person on the wagon but IMO best color for it. POPs in the right way, like the solid color, look not having the black wrap around trim the 2003s have. Shadowline trim came out great for the paint color pop as well. Its a real head turner...lip looks perfect like others stated not over done with so many others being just too much, IM not familiar with Slimmbones where did you pick up yours from? Id like to add the lip to my list of to-dos...

Thank You for all the kind words. Its been a lot of work but I'm happy with how it turned out. Mine and Danny's and their is one in Guam IIRC. I would think maybe a couple more out their somewhere but yeah its cool having such a rare color.

Slimmbones is a small shop out of California, they do a couple of lips and the rear diffusers. Slimmbones is on facebook and they will get back to you but it could take over a week for them. Stattus Gruppe also sells their stuff.

For now only doing the outer tails with the clear turn signal.

The winter beater touring is a savaged title car thats been in Michigan all its life. So it has a bit of rust. Otherwise its a great car.
I bought it for the black interior. The carpet, rear seat and cargo bits will go into my Japan Red touring along with a full M5 extended leather interior.
As far as selling it,my mechanic expressed some interest in it. I don't know how serious he was. I don't know if would be worth shipping to Cal. since I'm in Michigan. Depends what your looking for.

Thank You Sir. I still have everything for headlight build and will start my interior swap in two weeks. Just made appt. to get the black rear seat redyed.

Hey are you going to Mid Ohio in May ? IMSA Weathertech is there. Thinking I might go and see them.

    Hey jp5Touring,

I read through the thread but I can't tell if your Japan Red touring is a manual or not. I just helped me mother pickup a Japan Red 01 525iT with a 5 speed and I am having a hard time getting a count on how many are in the US.
