2011 x5d

Good Evening Bimmerforums,

After a unfortunate accident with my wives 2003 530I and the insurance totaling the car I have been on a search for a replacement. So in my jornery I decided on a 2011 X5D she wanted a SUV and I wanted the diesel. The X5D was chosen over the GLK 250 and 350 ,they are just to small for my large frame and didn't suit our needs. The x5D so far has been amazing good MPG for a midsize SUV and the power and torque are excellent. Any help or suggestions wound be appreciated, keep up the good work on the site.

Nice looking car, thinking of getting an suv myself I do like that ivory/white interior although that wouldn't work for me no matter how much I like it simply because I have kids and that will not last long staying clean.

Hahahaha also, couldn't help notice in the background the adult playhouse. Not the most attractive spot to take pictures.

Just curious what made you choose this over say the 2011 Mercedes ML350 BlueTEC diesel or it's bigger brother the GL350 BlueTEC. Either way, congrats on the purchase.

Good morning Bimmerforums

Sitting at my desk at work after getting home at 1:30 am from Miami Fl , left Friday at 8:30 am for the X5D first road trip with us. That is one very nice SUV plenty of power and torque and very Good MPG we averaged 26 the whole trip and we cruised between 80 and some triple digits the whole way. I would like to drive a X5M so I have something to compare it to. Plenty of room and very comfortable .
