So I am buying a '95 318IS tomorrow I plan on ordering the raceland ultimos coilovers for it. I have seen the thread of how to install correctly but my question is, is there anything else I need to do a straight drop with minimal camber? I do not want "stance" I want lower and a better handling platform. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the forum!
With a fixed point suspension, there is now way to lower a car with-out adding camber. In order to compensate for that, you will need off-set bushing, ect.

Front camber is needed for better handling on the e36 platform. M cars had extra camber, from the M strut tops. MacPherson strutt changes camber when compressed to positive camber, making the outside tire loose grip and causing understeer. It is the rear camber change that needs to be corrected. Adjustable lower control arms is what you need.
In terms of better handling more camber on stock ride height will be better than lowered with the same camber. You want to make sure the front lower control arms stay parallel with the ground. Don't go any lower than that or it will negatively affect handling as well.
refresh all your bushings and ball joints and get some konis or bilsteins on stock m3 springs. Racelands are junk.
alright thanks for the input it will be a daily and I only want like a 2' drop nothing major. The "stance" looks ridiculous on cars and I like having an even contact patch lol.
