PDC Sensors on a non PDC bumper?

my 750il bumpers have pdc, i have the trims intact that hold the sensors.
I was wondering if i will be able to switch the sensors to the bumper by just swapping the trims?

I found a parts car. I will be bringing it home tomorrow or day after. the timing guides failed.

    here is the build sheet.

Yes, the holes should be pre-cut on all bumpers.

I'm confused...your 750 has the wiring but no sensors and trim installed? If the wiring is there, then yeah it'll swap right over. The sensor design changed around 98/99, but your 750 is facelift so they should work. The older sensors are 2 pin sensors, the newer ones are 3 pin.

Yes, it took me several minutes to figure out what he meant, but I think I finally got it.
I think he wants to swap the good bumper from the parts car onto his 750 with PDC, and asking if the PDC trim/sensors will fit that bumper.

no, my 750 has PDC< my dad reversed the car on a chunk of ice and my bumper cracked.
front bumper had a small crack too. so i figured id change both, for the price of both bumpers, i can get the parts car. I will take the bumpers and the CD changer. i will part out the rest, maybe try to do the guides on the engine. it looked very clean when i went to see it a couple hours ago. it even had the OBDII wood trim.

Yes, your PDC sesors should fit just fine in the non pdc bumper. The bumpers are all the same, the center trim strips where the pdc sensors are located will have to be swapped over, thats about it. I'm in the middle of doing the same thing. swapping 740il non PDC bumpers onto my 98 750il with PDC.

i guess so. also is it possible to swap door skins? mine has double pane glass, the parts car probably has a single pane.

If you mean what I think you mean (again), the main metal part of the doors is the same for all E38s.

Seeing as this was 4 years ago and no questions, probably well. The trim is interchangeable from bumper to bumper.

Will you be willing to sell me some of the parts of the PDC system like the three wiring looms, the rear gong and the support for the PDC controller in the trunk?
