2011 750 Li Best Oil Option

I just bought a 2011 750Li with 66,000 miles on it. I've read the manual for 7 series and it says the following:
    Approved oil types
Your service center can advise you on which engine oils have been approved by the manufacturer of your vehicle.
The engine oil quality is critical for the life of the engine.
Only use approved BMW High Performance oil. Oils belong to the viscosity gradesSAE 0W-40, SAE 0W-30, SAE 5W-40 and SAE5W-30.

I would just like to know what specific brands and types people would recommend for my car.

Warm/hot climates (e.g. FL&TX) Mobil1 5W-40. Readily available and not that expensive at the discounters. Castrol now makes the factory supplied oil and the dealer stocks. I believe the owners manuals for some models recommend Mobil1. Both have API ratings compatible with your engine.
1985 635Csi. B35 engine, M5 flywheel. Dinan Stg3 susp. short shifter, big brakes style 32's
    1996 750iL 12Cyl. Box stock
    2000 M Roadster. Box stock
    1984 Alfa 2000 Spyder.

I always wrestle with the oil issue. i heard that USA synthetic oils like Mobil 1 is not 100% syn compared to European. and i see on the Castrol and Mobil 1 0-40 oil have the stamp (european oil) on it. i was told by an indepenant mechanic that the 0-40 is closes to what BMW and other use over seas. but could be cause the climate. Well i use Mobil 1 5-30 and no issues on my BMW since 2000
but was going to try the Catrol 0-40 on next oil change. But Shell is the new oil for BMW.

Just realized that i havent updated my signature pic. Loved that e38 but this F02 is like that 25 yr old that comes and breakup the 30r marriage. HOT

Just changed the oil in my 2011 750Li xdrive... used Mobil 1 Euro Synthetic 0-40 with 2 quarts on Mobil 1 0-30. 2 things I've noticed from the jump, small engine noise... DOWN. Second, oil temp gauge was averaging 220-225. Now, 200-210.A lot quieter ride as well. I drive in Normal and Sport for about an hour after changing my oil and fell in love again. Thanks Papemkr
