I now order 5x euro with resonators, 3x euro without resonators and 3x usa with resonators with pipe diameter around 55mm. Dont have delivery date at moment.

ufff, after one year i will have finally conversation with decat manufacturer and will order 15 decats.
probably 7 euro with resonators, 3 euro without resonators and some US/euro 328/m3 versions.
for US/euro 328/m3 version i have biggest dilema about piping size. bmw size is dual 48mm. really dont know if bigger is better.

My brother has US Supersprint resonator 785422 on his full bolt on US 98 M3 with M50 manifold, Supersprint US long tube headers and Rogue Engineering exhaust and I can honestly say that bigger isnt necessarily better.
The resonator pipes I believe are 50-52mm in diameter so they really aren't all that big and the car is pretty potent.
I also have a US M3 with full bolt ons BUT NO M50 manifold and his car shows no loss of low end torque.
I feel like much bigger piping would sacrifice his low end.

Since simply gutting a cat yields some decent power, (I read 15-20whp?), sticking with factory 48mm would suffice, for me at least. I prefer low end torque over high end power.

Not sure understand the point of the requests coming from the folks from the USA, you all want to delete the cats, and use US spec mufflers?

Why not just use an Active Autowerke or Magnaflow track pipe? They're already available and already fit perfectly. What am I missing?

I read through this thread and I'm just wondering about this as well. Will the xpipe in a US spec piping sound better than an AA trackpipe or magnaflow? I'd like to know what would be the benefit of going this route instead of AA?

If these bolt up to the raceland e36 m3 headers i'm very interested in a set w/ resonators. Let me know whenever you get the chance!

the raceland euro ones do.. not the US ones.. then you need to either get a Euro rear muffler section or modify the US rear. 60mm is the euro diamter piping. its odd sized and not available in the US much.

BUT... if you get the 2.25 ID tubing, this is almost the same as the 60mm, its actually 57mm and will slip fit with the 60mm, thats how i matted my Stromung rear section to the Xpipe. Both have to be modified

These are the headers I ordered from Raceland, they should mate up to this ss replica and then i'll need euro diameter muffler section right (60mm)? I would have to fabricate if I were looking to use the stock US muffler section? Thanks for the clarification.

yes those headers are correct... you either get a euro muffler section as a direct bolt on.. or modify the US muffler section to mate with Foler's X pipe... and use the 2.25 ID" pipe

Are these still available or will they become available?

Or does anyone know of an alternative to this? I can't believe there's not replica of this out there.
