Awesome for quick and dirty! The rubber strip seems to be random on the OEM lights and has no rhyme or reason, some have them some don't, some are on the top edge, some are on the bottom. Once installed I can't tell a difference, but it's nothing I did.
I added rando's video to the OP. Thanks again for taking the time.

Have you installed any lights with the flasher module? Any updates?
One, I have another flasher in stock. However, I'm not super excited on how it functions. I'm looking into a more "complicated" flasher that has 3 different settings for normal braking, intermediate braking, and hard braking based on the settings programmed and an accelerometer in the circuit board. The flashers I used that Sky suggested are just that, flashers of constant speed and duration no matter the braking situation or how long the brakes are engaged.
The newer one is double in price, but can be programed for the g-force required to step between the flashes, and the number of flashes before constant is programmable as well. The price for these systems to be used would increase a decent amount unfortunately since all the customer reviews of them seem to make it complicated to learn to program and the initial price of the unit is double the original.

This is a video of the OLD flasher that is not affected by braking force. It is constant. There are many different flash patterns and you can vary the speed of each pattern. Constantly flashing is probably annoying to the guy behind me and almost certainly illegal. All worth it if it prevents somebody from rear ending me.

Excellent, thanks for posting a video of it. I'll see if Randy can help me with a video if I get the accelerometer based one to try out.

New LEDs showed up this week. Will have a new light ready to go here in the next day or two depending on my schedule! Who's next?!

Headed home from vacation today with a core in the trunk. Who's next?!
P.S. getting one of the new blinkers modules ordered today to play with. We'll see how they work out.

Flasher module is IN!
I haven't gotten to play with it yet, but hopefully will over the weekend.
The optional functions this little thing can do is impressive. I was reading them last night before we went to visit my parents.
Default programming would be just that. I take it out of the box and wire it into the circuit as required for operation.
Default Programming:
Mounting: Wires toward front of vehicle
Lockout: None
Initial power: 6 slow(rate 8) standard flashes then continuous on
Medium braking: setting 2, 6 fast(rate 4) standard flashes then continuous on
Hard braking: setting 5, 16 very fast(rate 2) standard flashes then continuous on
My preferred programming:
Mounting: Wires toward rear of vehicle
Lockout: Dynamic #1
Initial power: 2 slow (rate 8) standard flashes then continuous on
Medium braking: setting 2, 8 fast (rate 4) standard flashes then continuous on
Hard braking: setting 6, 16 very fast (rate 2) standard flashes then continuous on
All Programming options:
Mounting:
1-Wires to front
2-Wires to rear
3-Wires to driver side
4-Wires to roof (not really for us but it's an option!)
Lockout:
-None
-Dynamic #1: The longer you engage the pedal the longer it takes to reset the flasher (up to approx. 30 seconds). i.e. you're in bumper to bumper and not giving a EDM show to the guy behind you every foot you move
-Dynamic #2: The longer you engage the pedal the SHORTER it takes to reset the flasher. i.e. I have no idea why this would ever be useful
-Timed: 3, 6, 9, 15, 25, 35 seconds
Brake Forces:
-Medium: settings 1-5 (0.25-0.50Gs)
-Hard: settings 1-10 (0.25-0.80Gs)
Flashing Modes:
1-Standard (X flashes then continuous on)
2-Fast Flashing followed by slow flashing
3-Continuous change from Fast to slow flashing rate
4-Flashing disabled
Number of Flashes: 1-20
Flash rate: 1-8
Repeat programming:
1-Disabled
2-Repeat after 4 sec
3-Repeat after 8 sec
4-Repeat after 12 sec
5-Repeat after 16 sec
6-Repeat continuously

This sounds very promising. I will look forward to seeing how the install works. I am interested in your retrofit with this new functinality!

Robb, can I get on the list for the next unit you have available? Thanks.

Your light is ready to ship Quest.
I also pulled mine again today and added this:
As soon as I'm running again I'll see about getting some video.

Bump! One still sitting ready to ship as of right now... where are my impulse buyers at?! If ordered soon, I could likely have another one ready to go for anyone attending Schuh that would want it hand delivered!

bump, a few bites but no one's bought the one ready to ship yet. First come first serve that can get me good photos of your existing light!
Thanks!

It's all installed, just waiting for the Coupe to be running again. Oil filters show up today which should get me mobile, but I'd prefer to leave the underside apart till I have the oil cooler mounted and lines ran before taking it out. Schuh will likely have Video's captured.
