So what screens are compatible with the NBT besides the F10? Has anyone installed an F20 or other model car's monitor?

Kool thanks.
As for the controller this should work or is compatible with the NBT unit right?

Lol! Of course I want the correct one. I'm just trying to confirm which ones will work (i.e., known to work). I started following this thread 2 years ago and had been up to speed until the past several months. So I wasn't sure if I missed anything about compatible parts.

The latest firmware is 1.02.34
hi
i am planning to 04/2012 f10 nbt retrofit ,i recived all set.before start to retrofit i ask some question
do i need only zwg flash with 8sk firmware. i readed out post #1152 blackknight530i .for flash on table do i need only ethernet, zgw and nbt head and connect as post or any other module or ıgnıtor?.does it work after flashing process.
Hi all - this is sort of in the wrong section but can’t find a thread anywhere like this for e60s... so I have acquired a custom retrofit nbt emulator for e60 and want to put it on my m6 that has cic...
It came without a plug - which looks like it should be 10 pin - is this emulator the same as carsystems does anyone know and is there a pin out?
As I already had cic can I use the existing controller?
Thanks!

As a separate question to the above what is the difference between a first gen evo and a last gen standard nbt?

Also anyone in the uk able to update firmware on the nbt?

Here en spain 160 euros to update firmware on nbt
I happen to have a wiring loom for the 10 pin emulator in stock if you still need it. Cic controller works fine as it is.
Last gen standard nbt? there's almost no difference in NBT hus (just different connections on the back for DVD input / dab / USB etc.)
First gen evo's were fitted to the 2 series active tourer and maybe some 1 series cars too, but they ran ID4 and had 2gb of ram, and had gps antenna connections too.
Legacy EVO HUs came with ID5 or ID6 and supposedly these units all had 4gb of ram, don't quote me on this but I think they all came with an ATM and the earlier EVO HUs still had a gps connection on the back which is not available anymore on the newer units because of the ATM.
me... there hasn't been any updates to the NBT FW in at least a year btw.

*I meant earlier legacy EVO ID5/6 units still came with a gps connector - presumably bmw wanted to use up all the old stock before moving to non gps socket HUs for these cars.
I think the earliest EVOs with ID4 didn't have ATM modules so came with proper GPS connectors
NBT
NBT EVO 2GB with ID4 (2 series activ tourer etc.)
NBT EVO 4gb with ID5/6
EVO in the 5 and 7 series only started on the G12 and G30
EVO in the 3 series and X5 started late 2016 I think
AFAIK cars that had EVO before these dates are the ones that received EVO with ID4, with a gps connector
Sanjsanj I meant software wise difference I have one running a late ‘16 firmware traffic display is loads better and so is album art...

Has anyone tried to integrate some of the original buttons/knobs from the radio faceplate into their screen bezels? I can see some presets and a volume knob being useful, especially with a passenger in the car.
i had thought about that as well, for trunk mounted units i would think you'll need a custom cable to make it to the cabin.
Has anyone tried adding in blind spot monitoring or the HUD from an NBT car?
I'm slowly buying all the parts, but the monitor is the most confusing to me. I know i want the 10.25" but I'm not sure about compatibility. There are many references to the F10 monitor, but the F10 came out in 2011, before NBT. Are all the F10 monitors compatible?
People also reference the F15 monitor, which apparently also has anti-glare coating and doesn't scratch as easily.
What about the F01-series monitors? Starting in 2009, they were well before NBT, but continued until 2016. Can any/all of these be utilized?
I'm hoping someone can help me shed light on the situation, and hopefully have it be of use to others.
