NBT/CIC/CCC retrofit in E39/E38/E53

so i have a question about the evo harness,i have the evo touch setup with screen,i bought the touch controller module, when i hook it up will the harness for the idrive touch controller be intergrated in the main harness or will i have to purchase it .

Your question is a bit confusing, but the iDrive controller and the touch module take the same exact 4-pin plug. The harness will have to have the wiring for 2 plugs and it'll work right away

I've seen y connectors for that harness on eBay which is why I asked a question so I will have to specify wiring for two plugs?

so the CS ATM emulator arrived yesterday as well as the touch moduler,waiting for the evo, screen and controller, due in today!

rude awakening! the touch screen from the f85 (x5m) is huuuuge! it wont fit my e38! epic fail on that one,i will sell the f15 and try to find an f10 touch screen if there even is one,or go with a regular screen,although i did want the touch screen.bummer.

F15 late 2016 model is supposed to be the same size as the early f15 screens and have touch.

part # is 6816387 02 production date is 1-11-17. i put it on ebay. have to get the part # for the screen you are refering to..jeez!

i decided to do a little investigating on the f15 evo screen,took it apart and found that it has two screens.the first with the non glare coating and the innerscreen.they are both connected by a foil type ribbon connector and it seems that it is about 10.25 minus the frame but i didn't take it all the way apart because it seemed very fragile and i was'nt that confident in what i was doing. shifting subjects for a moment..would it be better to use the amp that came from the donor evo car, or the e38 oem dsp amp? i have an opportunity to get the donor amp.

What is necessary for a 10.2" retrofit? Which cars can I take parts from? From what I've read I need:
BMW Microphone
iDrive Controller

I don't think that emulator will work. That auction looks like its for retrofitting into newer cars. If you have a 99 528i as your sig suggests then you will need an Ibus nbt emulator and I think the only place that sells them is Bimmerretrofit. I would try to contact carsystems however they may be able to help you. Also dont forget the gps antenna and a universal hsd (high speed data) cable http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-BMW-CIC-...53.m1438.l2649 to run from the trunk to wherever you decide to put your usb panel

Well i got the f10 screen mounted using the oem e38 bezel, now im looking at idrive placement...making progress!

Argh - the emulator has been behaving since I unplugged the camera (when plugged in it was causing the black screen) which was annoying but got used to it but today no changes it shut off again - anyone had any experience with this??? Any ideas? All spare wires are taped up and connections tight

Hey guys,

I have acquired a new unused NBT Evo, and would like to transfer the FSC codes from my crashing ID4 flashed to ID5. I have used the function GetFSC to get the FSC codes for each app number, but I am unable to use the functions GetFSCCert and GetSIGCert. FSC comfort mode shows FSCCertStatus unavailable. Is there any way in which I can use these to activate my new NBT Evo?

Alternatively, does anyone know a seller that sells the enable codes?

Some fiberglass would fill in the edges better, looks better if the screen goes edge to edge.

F10 was for 5 series...f15 x5..15 mounted on dash..f10 in dash....to the best of my knowledge.

I cannot find a good diy for this with a parts list (I have a 96 without I-bus line to trunk) and what the various options for the head unit (E38).
I pulled the wiring harness from a 2000 but am not even sure if I will need it, the nav/radio/cd changer/amp?


Edit, well got the carpet out but still not sure if i should replace harness with the one from the 2000 or just run a few more lines like a cat5e or similar?
